  1. I think he’s already in that tier… Give it a few weeks and there will be talks of him entering the top 10 QB list. Philly has a really easy schedule to start the year and I could see them being 6-0 or 5-1 before their bye. I’d take him over Kirk even if their salaries were equal.
  2. I’ll forever be a box score junkie, but I have very little desire to see this team in person or on TV for the rest of the season.
  3. I thought Hicks was a sneaky good signing but he is getting exposed in pass coverage. He won’t be starting long if that is the case. I’m afraid we’re witnessing the decline of Dalvin Cook in real time. He hasn’t looked explosive at all so far.
  4. This is one of the worst games Kirk Cousins has had in a Vikings uniform. The defense has been bad but they haven’t given up a point in the 2nd half. Kirk has thrown 3 terrible INTs and it could be more than that.
  5. I am feeling optimistic about our chances tonight. The big test is Bradbury going up against Jordan Davis who is a mountain of a human being.
  6. The only thing I’m certain about 2023 on September 19, 2022 is we have a lot of work to do. Bringing back the same core of players, manager and FO included, is not what I’d call a recipe for success. Something has stunk with this franchise for a long time now.
  7. Apple TV+ is definitely on the right track. Their probability percentages are way off and they’ve admitted their advanced stats are incorrect. They should partner with a legit 3rd party like Baseball Savant, FanGraphs or Baseball Reference and then they’ll be cooking with gas. There’s no doubt that the biggest issue is local and streaming blackouts. That’s a whole other can of worms with no fix until mlb teams break free from cable companies.
  8. Pictured is one of the several streaming options for the new Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime. This is something MLB could easily emulate with all of the advanced stats available. Team up with Baseball Reference or Fangraphs, and give the audience all of the statistics at our fingertips.
  9. I’m sure they were anticipating more than being a back end starter. That was the year when he was working on the slider and it looked good in spring training. Then they inexplicably announced the extension at the end of spring training.
  10. My god, it looks like there’s 5,000 people at TF on another perfect night
  11. The fans benefit the most, if the rules are strictly enforced. The pitch clock should eliminate 4.5 hour 9 inning games entirely. Banning extreme shifts in the IF will provide a more aesthetically pleasing experience.
  12. Concur. Jose Miranda may be the only Twins player to surpass 70 RBI this season. The last time the Twins only had 1 player with 70+ RBI was 1999. Marty Cordova led the team with exactly 70 RBI. This year was set up to be a real feast or famine lineup. More often than not we’ve seen famine, especially in clutch situations with RISP. If our pitching wasn’t great at the beginning of the year we would likely be 5-10 games under .500 right now. The offense has never held up their side of the bargain this season.
  13. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone claims him. He’s a high floor, low ceiling pitcher when healthy. He would get a lot more opportunity on a rebuilding team like Pittsburgh or Oakland.
  14. He has DeGrom-like numbers against KC and Detroit. #5 or worse stats against everyone else.
  15. Correa heating up just in time to explore his options on the open market again. Sigh… Too bad we can’t play the Royals 80 games a year.
  16. When 29 out of 30 teams are on identical playing fields with analytics, you need something else to separate yourself from the pack. More intangible things like development, targeting breakout players in FA/draft/waivers, diversifying types of pitchers, etc. Falvey and Levine were instrumental bringing the Twins to the 21st century with data and technology. They have a poor track record with trades and free agent signings. Developing their own pitching pipeline has been a mess.
