  1. Living in the southeast I've caught a couple of their games on local TV on Saturdays and calling their pen a "mess" might actually be generous. You can tell that Davy Martinez is trying to ride their starters as long as he can justify it because the minute he picks up that phone to the bullpen crap just starts hitting the fan.
  2. Kind of off topic but I just want to give a big shout out to Brad Ausmus for panicking and pulling Cahill after Kepler's double. Yeah kep got a hit, but with the way Cahill had been going I'd have at least given him one more batter. That change up of his down in the zone had our guys swinging off their knees all night. If the next guy gets on or drives kepler in then you go to the bullpen. So thanks to Brad 'Master of Bullpen Usage since Never' Ausmus for a sterling night out at the ballpark. I'm done. Back to our 'Another Win Love Fest'! Isn't winning a hell of a lot of fun?
  3. Gotta remember for the guys on the roster currently they were mostly already in the US by early February. Most of what's going on in VZ right now didn't start until late March. I imagine it would be a lot more difficult to get out currently
  4. As an American I maintain my right to complain about my sports teams. No matter the outcome of the game.
  5. Exactly. Last year we would've found a way to lose this game. The feel around this team is that more often than not they're going to battle and have a good chance to come away with a W
  6. The absolute lack of effort that appeared to go into Garver's swing on that HR... and yet it went 2nd deck. Oofta
  7. you know what that means though? Houston will now inevitably fall out of contention. C'mon man, I'm putting out negative waves here
  8. That will only happen if houston falls out of contention and I quite honestly don't see that happening
  9. Touche. I suppose I was just considering the last 15 seasons or so. It does seem like quite a substantial number in modern baseball
  10. Anybody know the record for the most starts in a row by a pitching staff of 5+ innings? 18 just seems like an insanely high number to me.
  11. I'm just excited to see Sano back in the lineup. If the team is still swinging the bats the way they are once he returns, I can see very good things happening for him offensively as long as he shows some patience. He's never had the lineup protection that he's going to have now.
  12. At what point do teams stop pitching to Polanco? He's hitting everything right now
  13. I'm sorry but this is a completely ludicrous statement. I'm hoping I'm just misinterpreting what you're saying but if I'm not your assertion is that since Rocco's career was hampered due to injury, he's less likely to push guys since he doesn't want them injured... This makes no logical sense
  14. Well we definitely don't want buck batting after the little chubby guy. We all saw what happened when you do that. *cue sad trombone*
  15. And from what I recall they were actively holding Polanco on the bag with the first baseman's position. A legit complaint is one thing but sheesh enjoy the win amirite?
