  1. You think Tim Anderson had a lot of errors last year? Wait until they're trotting Dallas Keuchel out there every 5 days. It'll be a massacre of grounders up the middle
  2. "And on the 7th day God said, 'Let there be rest...Except for those who play 18 innings.' And it was good."
  3. If the biggest issue we have is that our batters are worse against righties than lefties, and that the "worse" is still coming in at a 800+ ops I'll take it everyday of the week and twice on Sunday
  4. I don't think it's fair to say that no one has thought of the possibility. I'm sure it's crossed someone's mind. The point is that two months into the biggest scandal in MLB since PEDs, with nearly 1/3 of the teams in the league to be mentioned as at least "under suspicion", there hasn't been a whiff of the Twins being involved. Until that happens, it's a thought experiment. It's a question without any basis in known facts.
  5. Well I wish we would've cheated better when we got our butts handed to us in the playoffs. This is silly. If you have any sort of evidence that there was cheating by the Twins last year then please share. Are you saying the Yankees were cheating as well? After all, we were trading the HR lead with them right up to the end. If all it takes is banging on a trashcan then the Astros should've been leading. The reason no one is asking that "fun" question is that until there's some sort of evidence that cheating occurred it's not based in reality and therefore a useless mind experiment.
  6. I'm hoping they both do amazing but for a selfish reason I'm going with Dobnak. The selfish reason? I want that mustache pitching every 5 days. FEAR THE 'STACHE!!!
  7. One of the nice things is that at the moment if one of the young guns gives up a run or two in the 3rd inning, that doesn't mean game over. This offense is going to provide a pretty spectacular fall back for your younger pitchers. No need to deflate if you give up a solo shot when the next 3 batters for your team are Donaldson, Cruz and Sano. Other teams are going to be aggressive and try to score because they know the Twins are going to. Use that aggressiveness against them and get them swinging at borderline pitches early. Once they're doing that, you own them.
  8. I just want to add that I think the Sano extension is going to go down as an extremely underrated move. You've got MVP potential in that bat. That is an absolute steal at 3/30
  9. I have to be honest, I've never heard this about Donaldson. Yeah he can take the whole "competitive attitude" thing to the extreme, but I've never heard teammates complain. Not saying you're wrong it's just not something I've ever come across.
  10. The team around JD is MUCH better than what Joe had in his late career. Protection in the lineup alone should make Donaldson's value last longer. What are teams gonna do? Walk him to get to the Cruz Missile? Not a chance.
  11. Seems they learned their lesson from the Addison Reed signing. Keep it short, sweet and always leave yourself with a way out.
  12. He's got confrontations with guys he felt like were hotdogging it. I don't think he cared what color they were.
  13. Heard a mention this morning on ESPN that apparently he turned down more money from the ChiSox too. Big sigh of relief there
  14. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/12/orioles-trade-dylan-bundy-angels.html
  15. I actually like this deal for Atlanta. Before he went down with an oblique injury, he was hovering around a 3 era. Even with a high 5 ERA in the 10 starts after he returned, still finished the season with a sub 4. That's solid for a 4-5 starter
  16. Cole Hamels to the Braves for 1 year, 18 million. That would've been doable for us. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/28224887/sources-cole-hamels-braves-reach-1-year-18-million-deal
  17. How on god's green earth did Francona make it on the ballot? I like Tito, but his season didn't exactly scream "Manager of the Year"
