  1. go back in time and stop Ryan from extending him due to a flukey season?
  2. his FIP is 4.63. His xFIP is 5.16, and for those who like ERA, it is 5.23. For me, he has been horrible.
  3. It's helps that, going into today, he has gotten almost 5 runs a game of support (4.88 to be exact, which is slightly less than he's given up a game). Only 14 qualifying starters in baseball have gotten more. He's been horrible, regardless of how well the team around him has played in order to keep themselves in the game.
  4. BTW, this year Ervin Santana's FIP is 4.17, his xFIP is 4.49, he has 6.83 K/9 and has a BB/9 of 3.50. And, well, he has a ridiculous 98.4% LOB% along with an incredible .128 BABIP. If people want to think he's an ace because of his ERA, well, he's got a great one.
  5. I think the REAL point is we have too many #5 types. When the phrase, 'He's not bad for a #5 starter' can be said about the majority of your rotation, THAT is the problem.
  6. The Twins have steadily been lowering our expectations (what we consider acceptable)for years.
  7. That bat of Sano is just awesome. It's must see TV. Joe getting called out on strikes like he has the last few days is very frustrating (even if a couple strike 3s weren't actually strikes).
  8. Hughes turns 31 next month and his days as a top rotation guy was a total of one season. Mix in a couple #3 type seasons and the rest carp.
  9. I've never seen anyone beaned for being celebratory for a walk off HR. Seems like very team does what the Twins did last night when there's a walk off HR. Sometimes even for a game winning single.
  10. The infield was drawn in cause there was a guy on 3rd. He hit a sharp bouncer through the infield to score the guy from 3rd.
  11. And even though he did well and it was a joyous occasion, people still took their shots at him. Guess it's one of those can't help themselves kind of situations. I went nuts when I saw it. I was so happy for him and the team and to see so much joy from them all. I was glad I was nowhere near my computer at that moment, though.
  12. Dick and Bert can see what's going on behind Ervin Santana's eyes. Kind of like Trump knowing what Jackson was thinking during the civil war :-)
  13. Ervin Santana knows what he'd doing out there. Quality information brought to us by Dick and Bert
  14. They should all wear their pant legs high and wear stir-ups too.
  15. maybe if the guys in our broadcast booth talk about Hicks performance this year during the broadcast, they won't blatantly give us incorrect 'facts' about it like last time. Nah, they probably would. :-)
  16. Its the sound of the Hulk's bat hitting the ball that makes me shudder.
