    Mauer's comments on Gadea are strange. Gadea has 72K's in 50 IP with only 11 walks. So Gadea has been doing that all year to the MidWest League.

    Weil is almost 2 years older than the ave age of the leauge. He strikes out way way too much and should not be lumped in with Arraez and Blankenhorn.

    If you feel positive and upbeat about this team, then write a post about the good things you see. I am sure lots of people would enjoy reading your unique takes. But folks like Nick are trying to write multiple articles a week about this team looking at many angles. I think even the most upbeat person would be challenged to find positive things to post 2-4 times a week. Especially when the evidence that there are some real structural problems within this organization keeps piling up.

    Granite is probably in the AFL this year, right? Outside of him, I am not sure what other position players deserve it.

    If the FO is happy with the way Mauer is handling Blankenhorn hopefully Steil Radcliff and Antony follow Ryan to the unemployment line.

    Its good to read they had him work in the OF in EST. So why wouldnt Mauer play Fernandez over Blankenhorn in RF? These are situations where Radcliff and the GM need to get involved.

    Blankenhorn has been a DH for 32% of games this year. It would be hard to believe they left him in EST for 2 months and he can only play 2B. Mauer needs to be forced to play him somewhere in the field even if its not his strongest position.

    Are there people who really think Mauer is not one of the all time great Twins? I don't read a lot of Mauer threads, but if people think that well...they are just silly. But none of that really matters now. Mauer's contract ends after 2018. Twins probably won't be contending until hopefulyl 2019. I don't think the Twins should re-up him as he isn't a good hitting first baseman and Twins have lots of young players who might be more suited to play first base. So the question is should the Twins just DFA him to ensure they don't lose some young players with potential? I say yes. Let him sign with another team and hopefully get a ring.

    Last year Vielma had 35 Stolen bases in 47 attempts. This year he only 9-16. Any ideas to as why the attempts are way down?

    I know its only been 3 games but Blankenhorn has played DH in two of them. They need to get him in the field. Miller, Cavaness, Weil should not be getting field time over Blankenhorn. Hopefully the FO will be giving Jake Mauer a phone call and stop this before it goes on much further.

    Romero: Is he throwing his off speed pitches? Or is he throwing a superior FB and getting single A hitters out? This is the first time i remember him struggling this year. Hope he bounces back.

    Sure, he is going to be good one, that became clear last year if not before, but i don't think he is going to be in ROY consideration - not even close.
