  1. At least we Twins fans don't have to spend the winter thinking about the 8-1 lead our favorite club blew to end our season.
  2. Snoozer??? Perhaps I'm missing the sarcasm.
  3. Good for Cleveland. Hard not to root for them. I'd kill to have Francona manage the Twins.
  4. Wasn't that long ago you were asking for MORE ABs for Garlick. Including against RHers. I remember it like it was just a month or two ago. But I agree with the call for some reliable offense from the OF.
  5. Your post I quoted doesn't attack anyone? It literally starts with "those that deride Baldelli in every post." The entire post is about other posters. Zero about Baldelli.
  6. You're right. Almost no one actually defends Baldelli. But many here attack anyone who is critical.
  7. And that's different than those who vigorously attack anyone questioning a baseball manager...how? Not only is there seemingly nothing Baldelli can do to make them even question a single decision, It's like they take it personally when someone else does.
  8. The "pretty good start" that lasted 40ish games and "had them on pace to win the division" was an accurate picture of the team, but the 90 loss pace since mid-May is just bad luck, and injuries. We're 6-13 against Cleveland, despite the same number of runs scored, and its just luck. Not managerial skill in close games. Nothing to be done. Sure.
  9. "FanGraphs pegs his total value at nearly $32 million this season" I wonder if there is a GM in baseball who. If offered Buxton's season in March, would have paid $32M for it. I'd wager not.
  10. Bundy and Archer led us in starts, but the "pipeline" kept us afloat? Huh?? We traded for a starter and 2 relievers at the deadline because the pipeline worked? Huh??
  11. Not just the training staff, but the entire organizational philosophy on player health. What they're trying clearly isn't working. I want a return to players playing. The best players play. Every day. When injured, they go on the IL, and someone else plays. No more "load management," and conversely, no more carrying players that can't play. Train for 162 games played. Don't know if that will work...it used to...but do SOMEthing. The current philosophy is a disaster.
  12. I disagree with 95 percent of your post, but I HAVE to push back on the idea these two were "over extended." Ober has thrown 43 innings this year. Winder 60. C'mon.
  13. Celestino was never much of a prospect, and isn't one now. He is where he is due to where he came from, a product a terrible trade, Ryan Pressley. He's not where he is due to baseball skills. As a side note, I believe him to be the worst baserunner I've seen in decades of watching MLB.
  14. Didn't every team have the same 2020 challenges? Not buying that as any kind of excuse. My opinion: the "pitching pipeline(tm)" was wildly exaggerated.
  15. Berrios threw 200 innings once in his Twins career. So if by "doing his whole career" you meant 2019, then you have a point.
  16. Mrs Chief, seeing Luis Arraez name flash on the screen: "Lucy Arnez?"
