  1. The "stuff" is inconsistent, and he lacks command way too often. He can throw a tremendous splitter, but the next one just meanders to middle middle. He'll dot the corner with a fastball, then let one sit right in the whomp'em zone. And the slider is awful. The opposite of "good stuff."
  2. When it comes to the bullpen, well...laugh about it, shout about it, when it's time to chose, any way you look at it we lose.
  3. Did he have years of minor league play as well, from which to form an opinion? Demonstrated 300 pt OPS differential in those 350 MLB PAs? Managers and coaches watching his PAs against L and R hand pitching?
  4. Gonna leave it at, disagree strongly that anyone is starving Kyle Garlick. And disagree it makes sense to feed ABs to him just in case things go to hell in a handbasket and you're later left with no better options. He's carved out a small niche as a lefty masher. That's it. No reason to intentionally expand on that at the expense of LH hitters.
  5. Yeah, it's almost as annoying as the Mario Brothers game over sound they play at TF when an opponant K's.
  6. I'd say it's more like "Groundhog Day." But without, you know, the humor, good will, or redeeming resolution.
  7. GIven the current options, there isn't a lot Rocco can do, but Garlick should rarely if ever face a RH pitcher.
  8. Garlick should never see a RH pitcher, much less Garrett Cole, but given the options there isn't much Rocco can do. I'd take Garlick over Hamilton even if Garlick had a cast on one leg and two broken wrists.
  9. So with hunting season coming up, I'm reminded of a tragic story of two of my retired USAF friends. They were out hunting when one of them clutched his chest and fell to the ground, not visibly breathing. My other friend frantically called 911 and told the story. "I think he's dead!" he cried into the phone. The 911 operator told him "Well, the first thing we need to do is make sure he's actually dead." "One sec," my friend said, dropping the phone. A couple seconds later the 911 operator heard the sound of a gunshot. My friend came back on the phone. "That should do it," he said. "Now what?"
  10. Yeah I think he's probably due for a rebound, and honestly, where else are they gonna spend that money? He's a better player than he's shown this year.
  11. LOL. He didn't get $35M for his glove. Nobody gets that for their glove.
  12. 34 pitch 1st. Yankees announcers: "you can see he has no put away pitch."
  13. Simply awful. Find ways to lose, rather than ways to win. 4 errors. Celestino thrown out at home by 30 feet with none out in the 10th. Jax finds a way to throw a dinger to Glayber frigging Torres to cough up a 2 run lead. Based loaded one out in the 12th, Correa pops up on the 1st pitch, not even a strike. Megill has a another, what?...2 hits given up on 0-2 pitches? More rolling curves. Twins have not 1 but TWO Yankees caught off base in the 12th and Correa gets neither. For some reason Hamilton is in left field by the 6th inning. What? That results in a three pitch K for pinch hitter Kepler, who can't play the field, leaving Gordon in left and Palacios hitting 6th. It's tough being a Twins fan some days.
  14. I think, from the top down, this organization doesn't value skill at actually playing the game of baseball.
  15. I literally hold my breath on every 0-2 pitch from a Twin.
  16. We suck. That was as bad base running as Celestino at home plate, and we STILL can't get an out.
  17. Yeah, he took one strike. But I can accept the walk there. As I said. My point was, one of those two need to get a pitch and drive in a run.
  18. uffda 0-2. At least it wasn't another hanging breaking ball.
  19. Either Arraez or Correa need to come up with an RBI there. I can accept a walk from Arraez, although it ultimately did nothing. But somebody need to step up and knock in that second run.
