  1. "Gallo's been good-to-great every year BUT one." Ah...no. he's had one good to great half-season (2019).
  2. Your implication then is that batting average DOES say something important about Gallo's offense? Because if not, you're completely missing the point of Joey Gallo. He can't ******* hit.
  3. Did you know not all OBP is not created equal? Walks aren't worth as much as singles. And worth way less than XBHs. The idea that batting average isn't important is poppycock.
  4. I'll miss the "home run in a silo" jokes. Never gets old.
  5. Not just dancers Mike. Ballet dancers.
  6. I'm going to miss being informed 100 times per year that Kepler's parents were ballet dancers. And I prefer a 3 hopper to 2nd on a 3-2 count vs a called strike 3 on a 3-2 count, thankyouverymuch.
  7. I guess I can understand this process, but... The recurring embarrassing gaffes, completely missing obvious new info, really does this place no favors IMO. It makes TD look like amateur hour. I suggest refining the process.
  8. It isn't just annoying, IMO. It makes it hard to take TD seriously. It's amateurish. Sloppy.
  9. F. Only because that's the lowest option. Why? How does this help IN ANY WAY?? The only thing this accomplished was moving Falvey farther along in his annual wasting of whatever salary is available for FAs.
  10. Every year. Instead of going out and getting players that actually help us win, we get the leftovers. The dregs. The "gotta spend this somewhere" FAs that do NOTHING for the team except fill a roster spot and soak up salary. We don't get rotation help, we get JA Happ. We don't spend for actual bullpen pieces, we sign half a dozen DFAs and watch them stink up the place two or three at a time, lather rinse repeat. We don't assemble a rotation over the winter, we overpay for mediocrity at the deadline. We don't spend the money to get an actual player at SS, but we can sure waste a minor league piece for Kyle Farmer and portion off that $30m on 3 or 4 wastes of space. We need a new front office.
  11. Stop it. He's put up a borderline elite OPS once, in 2019, in less than 300 PAs. Based on a ****load of walks and some all or nothing power. He's had 100 hits in a season ONCE. Never driven in 100 runs. Never scored 100 runs. Joey Gallo is not an elite hitter. Not close.
  12. Particularly in high(ly) leverage(d) situations
  13. Yes, with all the power and influence of the NFLPA.
  14. Wait, wait, wait...is Terry Ryan back for a THIRD go-around???
  15. Extra credit for spelling it out instead of inserting the actual jpeg.
  16. He didn't hit a lot last year, although it was some ~80 OPS points higher than Celestino, but he'd been over .800 every year but one since 2016, and that was .795. He's also probably a better CFer than Gilbert.
  17. In a weird coincidence, I'm pushing 75 and can get my old pickup up to 57 with a stiff tailwind.
  18. In all seriousness, Pollock isn't the worst idea for a 4th OFer I've ever heard. Way better than Celestino.
