  1. Incredible, 1 HR on the year for Kiner-Falefa on 400+ PAs, yet Pagan gives him one. He's going to set a single season HR rate record for pitchers/relievers.
  2. I was about to post 'I have a feeling Megill gives up a run this inning', but looks like I was too late.
  3. So it seems they didn't use the maximum call-ups for Moran?
  4. Don't worry, that someone is the Yankees. 4 games in the Bronx will do the trick.
  5. I am not one for hyperbole, but this is a "fire everyone" game. It's time for a new front office and coaching staff.
  6. Hold on, Gordon is pitching after using just 2 pitchers?! Why can't Megill come get the 8th? I know this game is lost, but do we really need to throw a whole bunch of white flags onto the field?
  7. Good to see Palacios finally get rewarded with a 40 man spot (previously he was up as a COVID temp player).
  8. I have high hopes for Steer, I think he's capable of hitting like Miranda has this season. There will be ups and downs, of course, but here's hoping both us and the Reds can get proper value from the trade.
  9. Reagor will be the #4 WR and the punt returner, he was actually very good at returning punts for the Eagles last year. But yes, he's pretty bad as a receiver, but he's got upside. I could see him working out as an occassional deep threat. Cutting ISM is very puzzling indeed, it seemed he was the #4 guy with Bisi's ACL tear, but it seems the new FO wasn't high on him. Especially since we could have cut our 10th OL (why is Udoh still on the team?). Now he's basically the Bears 2nd or 3rd best WR.
  10. Usually seems like that is the case with our minor league relievers, they can put up great numbers then get demolished. Cano stunk even worse and now he's getting trashed in BAL's AAA system. Seems like the best bet is failed starters becoming good MLB relievers, like we've seen Duran and Jax pan out this year.
  11. Hard to believe that Arraez has one less HR than Kepler - 9 to 8.
  12. I haven't seen any substantiated rumors, it's mostly fans who are drumming up talk about adding a center. They've given Bradbury zero competition and they're committed to starting him all through 2022. The backup center Schlottman is not going to push him (he's somehow been worse in pass protection when he's had to start games). Special teams, but he also played every snap with the 2nd team. I was surprised since Blake Lynch started several games over Dye last year and graded acceptably, while when Dye played in 2020 he was a disaster. So it's got to be special teams, I imagine. Hopefully Asamoah is the primary backup at LB.
  13. Yup, Archer usually goes through 3 innings well, then falls apart. He's a long reliever taking up a starting spot in our rotation, just wish we could see what he could do in 2-3 inning outings in case we do make it to the playoffs.
  14. Huh, interesting. I was super high on Blacklock in the 2020 draft but he didn't do much the last two years in Houston. He is a better fit in the 3-4 system but hasn't played as well as Watts has up to this point.
  15. Armon Watts was cut, which is a big surprise. He notched 5 sacks last year and looks like a solid interior pass rusher, but he's a better fit in a 4-3 defense. I guess he wasn't worth anything on the market, but he's a guarantee to be claimed on waivers. Jonathan Bullard is now a starter, or perhaps they plan to sign Suh.
  16. Bundy still gave up 9 hits and was lucky to only let in 2... buyer beware whomever signs him to a deal next year. I would wager a guess at another one year deal with a bigger price tag.
  17. So far, 3 of the 4 3rd rounders from 2021 have been cut (Mond, Chazz Surratt, Wyatt Davis) along with 2021 4th rounder Janarious Robinson. Oof! At least Darrisaw looks like a above average LT in the making and we did find Nwangwu and Bynum in the 4th round, but Spielman's quantity over quality approach did not work out as intended. I am intrigued to see if any of them get claimed on waivers - I am on the record predicting that Mond will be claimed.
  18. Are we at the 3:00 hour mark? If so, how and why is this game going so slow?
  19. Bisi tore his ACL so he's out for the year. McGill is week to week with an ankle injury and will likely be released off the IR in an injury settlement within the next month.
  20. I'd take him on the bench over Caleb Hamilton, that's for sure.
  21. Everyone got ticked off when Duran-Lopez-Fulmer were used in the 5th-7th the other day... but then there aren't any other options.
  22. Here is my final 53 man prediction: Note that I'm predicting a few things here like a Jesse Davis trade, with a couple of waiver claims likely to come.
  23. Walk off walk! Good game, felt like we stole one, but we're going to steal a lot more to get back in the playoff race.
