  1. Santana clearly hasn't been sharp for quite awhile. Granite just doesn't seem to be able to hit up here. He's been hitting balls down in the zone for grounders to 2nd. I'd like to see him square up on the ball down the middle he seems to take.
  2. I sell antiques in a shop in Stillwater. Jessica Lange visited often and Sam Shepard also. Nice people. But it only takes a few to ruin things. They just wouldn't leave Jessica alone. Someone flattened all her tires one time, and folks would go up to their door. Didn't take long and they moved.
  3. After an eleven spot I went to play golf. Figured I couldn't be that bad, and wasn't. Didn't hear the final score and not sure I want to.
  4. This Rowson guy seems pretty good. Wonder where we'd be if Bruno was still here?
  5. With Gibsons first pitch of the game being ball one, I figured this would be a long night. It has been, in a good way. Gotta give Gibson some credit for hanging in there. And excellent relief by Duffey. Thank goodness for Lauren Dusky in between.
  6. Got me into bed, I worked there one summer. Worked at Schmidt's for 3 summers. Never had a lack of beer on hand.
  7. This is pretty Cool! Tied for first place somehow. I just feel the Twins have a good chance of winning every day. They pulled it out last night, a game they would have blown in the past. I'm feeing good!
  8. This series should give us an idea just where we stand as a team.
  9. Very nice win and some good plays from Polanco, and Sano. One big hit is all it takes some days.
  10. Pudge was watching his kid in Ft Myers and my buddy had him sign a ball. I've never gotten him to sign.
  11. The home heavy schedule thru May just might keep this season interesting all that much longer.
  12. Polanco's arm is much better than it was at the start of spring training. Bert made the comment 2 games ago Sano was pulling everything in spring training. I don't know what Bert saw, but he didn't see much. Sano worked all spring on going the other way and up the middle. It's paying off for him. He's looking at pitches differently and not swinging at some he did last year. It's been a nice start for the entire team.
  13. Holy Cow! Put Buxton in the 9 hole and let him strike out as much as he does, he saves a lot of runs.
  14. A Friday night game. What to watch, Parkers Trek or the Twins Trek?
  15. There's a group of about eight of us that hang out daily near the cages in spring training. I can say no one worked harder than Max in the cages, with Sano next. One day he spent two hours straight there hitting off the tee mostly, with I believe was Torii. Every ball he hits off the tee is smoked. No one was consistantly hitting the ball as hard as Max did. He's a bright young man and full of desire. Granted what he's trying to do, with the off season help from Barry Bonds is unconventional way of hitting the ball, he obviously believes it will work for him. Hopefully he has some early success and sticks with it. He's hit some hard balls in the first few games, and I think he'll continue to progress to have a good year, and a great career.
