  1. If the Twins can pull out one win in this series it'll be a good start to July.
  2. Dozier has gotten with the game, while Plouffe remains a liability. Nice game for Gibson!
  3. That's just it - no one on this board is going to make the Twins better. This is about a Change at the Top of the Twins organization, not Twins Daily. You understand not wanting to burn bridges because it's counter-productive to gain insights from the team, hence counter-productive to this board. Seth's getting a lot of unwarrented flak here and there's no call for it.
  4. I'm in the camp where more time in AAA would be best. However, he's needed now so the hand is forced. However, as another pointed out, let him know they're pleased with his progress and this is just a temporary move, don't give up your apartment in Rochester.
  5. I couldn't post last night as the reply box didn't show, just gray area. But it was a treat to see Dean disect the plate and have hitters off balance all night. And I was so happy Jepsen didn't come in for the 9th.
  6. No, they are not one of the worst teams ever. They aren't even one of the worst Twins teams ever. But their records certainly points that way. There is some scattered talent on this team, so there's that. And a group of these guys are going to realize, if not already, that they are playing now for there ML lives. The pressure to win should be gone by now. Relax, play at-bat by at-bat and get yourself a chance to hook on with another team next year. we've had teams in the past where most of the players should be working in a factory somewhere.
  7. I love it! We have the weather man on our side to make sure we don't lose any more! Wonder if TR thought that one up or was it Pohlad. Looks like thunderstorms tomorrow with possible tornadoes wednesday.
  8. Ruesse goes nuts with Dozier 3d and Sano 5th. I agree, put Sano 3rd, Park 4th and the rest of the bums later.
  9. Mauer has played in every game all year, til yesterday. Dozier could use a week off the way he looks.
  10. 86 at my place in Silver Bay, was 94 in Finland a while ago. Nice!
  11. Unlike most everyone else, I'm giving Molitor a pass. As he said when hired, there'll be a learning curve, ups and downs. Somehow, someway they had a decent season last year. This years roster was put together with nothing but hope. And I'm not so sure that Buxton making the cut was in any way Molitors decision. Anyway, you can bet that Molly is getting a lot of help and advice or opinions from Vavra, Neil Allen, Eddie. Look at all the different lineups so far he's tried, and nothing seems to work. And now with the release of a couple of guys there'll be more adjusting and fitting going on attempting to find some success. I just don't know if there's any to be found with this bunch of guys.
  12. Relax? Hell yes. Just let it go. Buxton was way over hyped to begin with. He's just another young player in the minor leagues struggling to improve his game. If you want to get worked up over something, pick another player, any player, like Levi Michael or someone. As someone else mentioned, "he'll be fine" is over used. I've never been on his bandwagon and the only time I haven't been relaxed was when he was in the majors. Now he's where he belongs and I'll read about him in the minor league forum like the rest of the players down there. He will be what he will be. Relax.
  13. Congrats on all the jobs guys! Jobs, jobs, jobs, I've had a ton of them, and not one lasting over 6 months. With time goofing off between many of them, all of a sudden the time came to decide to take Soc Sec at 62 or wait. What an easy choice! Now my job is to get both feet to hit the floor every morning and make that meager income last another month. Think I'll go golf.
