  1. I see a 12-13 record the rest of the way. Not enough, but still 83 wins for the season, and an improvement over the Gardy reign. The wild card possiblity will still be in play Oct 1st, so quite a lot longer in contention that previous years. They've surprised me this year.
  2. This spring I was told would be Doug's last year of managing in the minors. He wants a big league job and will probably be in the mix for some team.
  3. This post just messed up my golf game worse than what it was. My drives go around 220, but 40 yards of that is to the left. If only I could add that on to the end, straight. I lost 17 quarters last night playing. I did get new Hank Haney croc's though.
  4. One of the finest articles I've seen on TD! The video's make it so easy to see the changes. Just curious as to how you get the insight from Bruno on some of this. Honestly I'm not surprised by anything Sano does, having watched him since he was 16. Only disappointed it took another year with his injury. He takes great pride in both his offense and defense and works very hard to improve both. In time he will surprise some folks with his ability to man 3rd base also.
  5. Glad I don't have a ticket to the game. I'd be pee'd if Sano didn't play.
  6. May should start in the rotation next season, but he's certainly shown his value in the pen. If need be, plug him back in the pen next year. They tried this with Alex Meyer but the pen hasn't seemed to get him going either. It doesn't work with everyone, obviously. Nolasco shouldn't be around next year and I'll bet Gibson is on the block this off season. Malone probably will be here, and possibly Pelfrey. So that makes the rotation Hughes, Santana, Malone, Pelfrey and May, with Duffey and Berrios as possibilities. That all changes if we're stuck with Nolasco, and either or both of Malone and Pelfrey go. TR has some pondering to do this off season.
  7. I didn't give us much of a chance when we didn't score in the 10th, but when Perkins came in I gave us no chance.
  8. Our golf sup up here curls and has gone to Worlds the last couple years. Scotland last year and she got to play St Andrews. Russia this year, and came in 3rd. It's a shame we can score all these runs to have Gibson give them back. Sit him down now and we win the bullpen battle.
  9. I was so looking forward to seeing Sano in the bigs since the first day I met him when he was 16 years old. It really hurt when he lost a season, but now he's here and even doing better than I had imagined. Time fly's. He'll be around for a long time and could set some hard to reach records. Seeing this is really satisfying.
  10. Plouffe likely brings back the best return and he shouldn't be part of the future, so take someone that has a chance to be here for next 5, 6 years in return. Pelfrey and Nunez probably are both headed somewhere.
  11. 1. Playing in AAA has no less wear on his injury than in the majors. Saying that somehow he is less likely to get hurt here, or you can swing softer or something.....bunk. That is bunk. Playing in AAA will have more wear on his injury as he will be making more contact with the ball than he would with the Twins.
  12. Dozier's run for the all time Twins strikeout record continues on tonight. Look out Danny Darwin, here he comes!
  13. I can't help but wonder how the PED's helped Santana and without them he's not much. Gibson and Pelfrey both are night and day, so who will show up?
  14. It's very clear the Twins aren't in the class of the Blue Jays and other top teams. What isn't clear is if they are on an even scale with the so called poorer teams. We haven't really beat up on those teams, like the Brewers, A's, Mariners etc. So now with the Indians we'll find out. Without a series win here the season might just as well end. Here's to hoping we can take the cellar dwellers.
  15. Twins hitters make you think they're facing David Price. For the last week.
  16. I'd be very happy with a split this series. If Perkins and crew out there keep up the usual, we will drop like a rock.
