  1. 4 lousy hits so far. Hard to win a game like that. How about one loud one here and end it.
  2. I'll hurry home after golf league to tune in to the Sano show.
  3. At least it was nice listening to Uecker for a while on the radio and him talking about the fun games with the Twins. And praising guys like Zoilo, Battey, Gagne, Kirby and Tony. He even said Tony should be in the hall.
  4. Even the sky is celebrating. The northern lights are putting on quite a show up here tonight!
  5. The lines get longer when the server has to have a quality check of each brand served.
  6. I'd imagine Santana is on a pitch count tonight. Could be 45 tonight, 60 next time. Should be interesting.
  7. Good writeup Parker. I don't know the problem other than Mauer is a problem right now, not only with the bat but with on field decisions.
  8. When we let Torii go I was happy with that decision. It was way to much money to spend to keep him and I didn't ever want to see the swing and miss again at the low and away breaking ball. This winter when we signed him back I was thrilled. Things had been mighty drab around here for a few years and figured he'd inject some spark. And that he's done, plus playing pretty good ball. I'm glad he's here. I've thought 2018 would be the year we could have a legit chance at winning the whole ball of wax. That remains, as the young bloods would have 2 and 3 years of ML baseball under their belts. I just don't see a spot for Torii after this season as his most important assets is the spark and don't see how consulting or coaching would lend itself to that. Maybe he could be the first cheerleader in Twins history. Perhaps they give him an honorary position like they did Kirby.
  9. I'd give up playing golf one day a week. And, as much as I'd hate it, I'd get off of Poof's ass.
  10. I just can't help but admire that whole Cardinals thing. Maybe because they are birds. Topping them won't be easy.
  11. I had no idea! You and 1000 others, wow. This should be fun to watch. He's liable to settle right in like Roserio and Polanco.
  12. There's no maybe. Plouffe can't be counted on. He's always been cold, with short hot streaks thrown in. He's a AAAA player.
  13. Any of these games should be a treat to take in. Perfect weather, fighting for first place and smoke dancing. Attendance should be way up there, and I hope not to hear so much cheering for the visitors like the Brewers games had.
  14. So AAA is where he goes, sooner than I thought. Let's hope he can get it going there. Esco now steps in to play full time. Maybe that will get his bat going, and Vargas should be here.
  15. I think what Mollie and TR are thinking goes something like this: Last year Santana played outfield, a new position. He was learning on the fly, and his batting was just continue as normal, no pressure there. If noting else, he felt comfortable in the box. Now, he's playing short, and having his difficulties, and that's carried over into his plate appearances. He looks like he's playing under a lot of pressure, which he is. He knows he should be playing better defense. Mollie and TR are just hoping that he can separate the two and start hitting like he should. If he can do that they'll put up with his defense, which can only improve. I think they'll give it til mid-season and then if they have to, make a change. I don't think Escobar is the answer though.
  16. Because they've only got a limited number of ex-Twins on the team.
  17. Just a feeling from afar, but I think Max is finally healthy this year. So many nagging injuries in the past seasons.
