  1. Don’t see a loss on the schedule!
  2. I no longer take this team seriously when there is not a realistic option on the bench better than Jake Cave to pinch hit in the most crucial moment in a game. Even the Dodgers would be struggling at the position if they were down to their 8th OF on the depth chart. That’s the current reality with the Twins. People suggesting to call up someone else are grasping at straws. The only option that would help the team right now is Larnach returning from injury.
  3. Is there anyone, anyone at all, available to pinch hit for Cave?
  4. At least there’s a pulse with the bats now. Let’s see if Urshela has the clutch gene tonight.
  5. In 1999, Marty Cordova led the Twins in RBI with 70. That was the lowest amount I saw looking back at the last 30 years of history on baseball reference. Jorge Polanco leads the 2022 Twins with 55 RBI. 41 games left. Will a Twins hitter finish with more than 70 RBI this year?
  6. Sadly I think this is the week that will sink the season. There’s no signs at all that the offense will string together timely hits. This week has a high likelihood of ending 1-6 or 0-7.
  7. The Twins have certainly been missing an ingredient since the bomba squad 2019 season. I don’t know if it’s the coaching staff, overall talent, or the core players who have been here forever. The lack of clutch hitting, streakiness of players, and ying/yang between pitching and hitting has been present for years before this season.
  8. The current week is going to be tough to watch. Especially if the stars Buxton and Correa continue to flatline. It’s getting to be time to enjoy the last part of summer here in Minnesota and put the Twins on the back burner.
  9. Good bye, Sean Mannion. It’ll be interesting if Kwesi keeps 3 QBs on the 53 man roster, or tries to sneak Mond to the practice squad.
  10. I don’t think I’m going to watch the show “Loot” on ATV+. Sounds like Jeff Bezos’ ex wife’s life.
  11. Also, the Red Sox are an awful defensive team. They’re going to finish behind the Orioles this year. Book it.
  12. I saw something from Ken Rosenthal about the White Sox running away with the division.
  13. Same. I have no problem whatsoever having Correa around for another year at $35 million. Odds are he’ll have a much better year in 2023 than this year.
  14. That is true. Since the day he signed everyone has said he’ll opt out. As each day passes and he doesn’t heat up, I’m skeptical he will.
  15. $897,435.90 for every run he’s driven in this year.
  16. If you’d say Correa would have less than 40 RBI 2/3rds of the way through August I’d assume he’s been injured since May.
  17. I like that they’re trying something different, but I’d rather see the pitch sequence each at bat vs. a probability of getting a hit.
  18. A fun stat I read yesterday I believe. The Yankees haven’t won 2 games in a row since June 29-30th.
  19. I knew my broadcast video quality take had merit to it ?
  20. Yeah idk how else to describe it. This broadcast is crystal clear on my OLED (oh good for me!) TV.
