  1. Andrew Booth Jr. having his welcome to the NFL moment. He went from ST player to shadowing Stefon Diggs. Good luck.
  2. Call me crazy, but I think it’s more important to see how close we are to the elite teams in the league like Buffalo than winning this game. I’m glad Josh Allen was able to play today so we see them at their very best. The Vikings are certainly in a tier below Buffalo, Kansas City, and Philadelphia.
  3. That turnover on downs will haunt. They’re getting at least 3 points on the drive. If not 7.
  4. Kendricks looks cooked. Getting pushed out of the way by Hines, who’s maybe 175 lbs. soaking wet.
  5. Josh Allen is playing. Let’s see how we stack up against the best team in the NFL.
  6. Nick Anderson cleared waivers and elected free agency. It’ll be interesting to see where he lands. Could be a potential high reward pickup if he gains back the lost velocity.
  7. His entire 1 year minor league career. Spencer Strider minor league ERA - 3.64 in 94 innings. Described as a very effective starter Jhoan Duran ERA 2018-2019 - 3.75 in 100 and 115 innings. Described in this thread as a mediocre starter (not by you). I don’t even think Duran’s minor league stats are relevant anymore because he’s clearly a better pitcher now. I’m simply pointing out the irony. Duran could have the same path as Strider, Suarez, and countless St Louis Cardinals pitchers who started their career in the pen and transitioned to a starter.
  8. Who is saying this is a World Series team next year? Signing Correa long term is one step towards building a World Series caliber roster. We have upwards of $60-70 million to spend this offseason to match this years’ payroll. With a limited amount of roster spots to realistically spend on to reach that number. You’ve previously posted that spending big money for a front line pitcher like Rodon is no big deal. And spending big time money for a pitcher is the biggest risk in all of the major sports. So where’s the disconnect here? I’d like to spend big money on a position player who’s proven to be available for 120+ games a year and clearly one of the best players at a premium position.
  9. What are you looking at to get these rankings? Rogers was worth 1 fWAR and -0.7 bWAR last year.
  10. 43:25 in the iHeart radio app. The episode is breaking down every aspect of the payroll, including buy outs, arbitration, guaranteed contracts, etc.
  11. I suppose that’s possible. He’s in the strange situation where to really catch on somewhere, he’s going to have to demonstrate that there is still upside left in his game. Over the last 3 seasons he’s shown zero upside. What’s the upside for a team like the Reds, Nationals, or A’s giving him MLB at bats for 3 months? He’s flipped for a low level prospect? That’s the challenge he’ll have this winter.
  12. Confirmed by Aaron Gleeman at the 43 minute mark of the Payroll, Monsters, and Roster Cuts episode.
  13. No reason to preface the title as “for now”. He will not wear a Twins uniform next year or the foreseeable future.
  14. He’s had 3 bad seasons in a row. I’m begging the Twins. Please give up on him.
  15. I will be shocked to be honest. I think this year was the final straw and Falvey is ready to move on.
  16. No surprises so far. So long, Sano. I think he’s going to have a difficult time finding an MLB contract this offseason. May have to settle for a minor league deal with ST invite. I hope we didn’t take all of this time to rehab Archer only for him to pitch 140+ innings next season. Bundy did his job here. He was a serviceable back of the rotation arm that remained healthy. I wouldn’t be opposed to bringing him back at the right price.
  17. I wish he was healthy so we’d have an accurate reading on where we stand in the NFL.
