  1. The defense came to play today. And Mike White showing why he’s Mike White.
  2. Hard fought offensive drive there. Nice work Dalvin!
  3. Looks like points will be hard to attain today.
  4. Excellent opening drive for the defense. Let’s go!
  5. An offer of Royce Lewis, Brooks Lee, and Emmanuel Rodriguez maybe gets your call returned from Pittsburgh… More than likely he stays put until the trade deadline at least.
  6. Before I write him off, I’m gonna need to see him throw the ball to someone better than Jakobi Meyers and cast off DeVonta Parker.
  7. No doubt he’ll get a shot to earn the 8th spot in the bullpen in spring training. He’ll likely be a long shot, however. It will likely be a 4 man competition for 1 spot - Henriquez, Winder, Sands, and Balazovic competing for long relief.
  8. Now 3/$40 for a guy who was moved to the pen during the playoffs.
  9. I enjoy it all. The offseason is fun for hot stove talk, follow where the top FAs go, and discuss our visions of how the roster should be shaped. This winter should be fun for Twins fans because the books haven’t been this clean in a long time. And I believe we have a really good shot at re-signing Correa. I enjoy the ride of the regular season, with conditions… They have to be competitive for a playoff spot where anything can happen if they get in. At a minimum, they have to be entertaining and building toward something. There’s nothing worse than slogging through a non-competitive season and holding onto over the hill veterans for dear life. In that scenario, I’m 100% out on watching the Twins play.
  10. Agreed. The point of my first post is Kansas City could build a multi-billion, 9th wonder of the world stadium and still come up with the same excuses Minnesota does to have a self imposed payroll limitation. Poor TV contract, small market size, low attendance, etc. There will always be a reason why they’ll be a mid-market team.
  11. I would guess 99% of the players don’t live in Minnesota after the season is over. So the weather today has no significance to a professional baseball player.
  12. Heaney likely is the best we can do if we end up re-signing Correa or one of the other big 4 SS free agents. The reality is Falvey and Levine weren’t hired to hand out 9 figure free agent contracts to pitching. It’s time to see if their hard work building a pitching pipeline for the last 6 years is real or not.
  13. Totally agree with your post. I’m not sure where this fascination with finding LH pitching mashers came from. There is no dominant LH starting pitcher in the AL Central. 5 out of the 45 who made FanGraphs’ qualified innings criteria are LH pitchers in the AL. That could change depending on where Rodon and Quintana land.
  14. I’m not sure why we should be frightened over these teams. Dak Prescott has shown over the years he’s more than capable of having a dud game. San Francisco wants to win games 17-10. Philly hasn’t been battle tested at all. The one time they got punched in the mouth by Washington they didn’t counter back and lost.
  15. 100 games played. He’s only done it once in his MLB career. Everything else will take care of itself if he can play a triple digit amount of games.
