  1. I was thinking more along this line: Teresa Brewer - (Put Another Nickel In) Music, Music, Music (1950) https://youtu.be/-gUNZAmFfKA?t=2
  2. A pitchers throwing motion is abnormal, given how a shoulder is built. A high school kid throwing 100 mph is really abnormal. I'm hoping I'm really, really wrong, but I sense TJ surgery for Greene in the not too distant future. On the other hand, if the Twins feel they have the coaching staff that can convince Greene to ease back on the fastball and put more effort into secondary pitches, I'd draft Greene in a heartbeat. In other words, I'm probably more wishy-washy than the rest of you combined!
  3. I guess I don't really care if the new FO makes a "signature" move. I'm more on the side that says: Don't do anything that could mess up the development of the young pitchers. If traded, who becomes the successful, veteran presence? Gibson, Hughes? Pulezzzz.... Would probably have to send in LaTroy Hawkins. I also don't buy into the idea that the return for Ervin would be high. I guess I'd like to hear names. I think a AA player or 2 ready to move up would be a great get. An AA player and a couple A-ballers could also get is done.
  4. Watched a few videos of Wright pitching. Seems pretty smooth. Greene seems to put a lot more effort into it. I don't think the Twins can go wrong with Wright. heh....
  5. Ranger's have designated former closer Sam Dyson for assignment. Twins management is reportedly interested. I say: run, don't walk! Seems like a good add. Levine should know best!
  6. Thanks, Seth! Great work! Gotta ask about the starters: Any chance of Gonsalves and Romero getting a MLB audition soon? I'm not really seeing any reason not to. 3-4 starts would/could provide some benefits.... Geez, seems like someone has put a voodoo curse on the Twins MiLB. I hope Kirilloff can turn it around quickly.
  7. I've posted this before: Hughes has a history where, after 1 good season, he gets hurt. The Yankees always put him in the bullpen to build innings. Twins should have done this in Spring Training. Kintzler has been successful for the Twins as a closer. If you want to, switching in Duffey as a co-closer is cool. Waiting to see if any relief prospect is still health. Waiting to see how Randy Rosario does....
  8. I wouldn't necessarily rule Tyler Jay out as a starter. It may be just a thing where he needs to get "stretched out" more.
  9. At 28 yrs old and still trying to figure it out is a clarion-type warning.
  10. From what I've been reading here, there's no consensus lock on that 1:1 pick. It'll be interesting to see people with a different view of baseball making the draft decisions.
  11. Falvey and Levine's approach to the bullpen is what I kinda expected. Not to make excuses for them, but they had a late start to the season. At that point, and attempted patch to the bullpen was about all they could accomplish. That being said: Time to get that MiLB merry-go-round a rolling! Get some of those relief pitching prospects up for their auditions! And start digging into other teams MiLB's for starting pitchers. Twins pitchers need to start mirroring the growth/success of the position players. Or, Begone with Ya!
  12. I would have yanked Buxton because of that bone-headed at bat...
  13. 2) Miguel Sano's batting average: .310 Here's another one: So far this year, in 40 games, Miguel has 30 walks. The previous 2 seasons? 196 games, an average of just over 53 BB's. The next Jim Thome? Stretching a bit?? 3) Jorge Polanco's UZR/150: 9.5 Consistent time at one position does wonders...
