  1. His pitch recognition seems better. He's laid off some breaking balls outside the zone but is aggressive on pitches he can handle. You can see he has some pop in his bat - his hits aren't cheap.
  2. I think the Twins true identity came from TK. He was the guy that committed to defense, pitching and making contact. I haven't seen that commitment since. If the Royals copied anything it was TK.
  3. After all the screwing around the Twins finally have a chance to get it right with BB and they let an injury in a lost season determine his fate. I've been a patient fan but the Twins just lost me on this one.
  4. I think things are setting up nicely for the Twins. Buxton et al need to be in AAA for another 6 weeks which should coincide nicely with a Plouffe trade. If Polanco does well in Rochester I would move Dozier as well. Kepler and Polanco add some badly needed obp and your outfield defense is fixed.
  5. Yep just like jr murphy is younger than Garver and turner. Oops...
  6. It's been reported that he has some shoulder soreness so they are sitting him a few days.
  7. Just heard on inside twins that Buxton has gone back to using a leg kick
  8. Agreed. The idea that he should be called up after a few good weeks is short sighted.
  9. I think the whole age thing is overblown. You need good players not just young players. Remember the Stahoviak Becker era?
  10. Thank you this. Molitor job is to win games now, not develop minor leaguers. You get one baseball season per year and you fight like hell for each game at least until July.
  11. I think Berrios still needs a few more starts to show that he is done with AAA but he has been about as consistent with his success as any prospect I've seen. If someone doesn't get hurt I would make a spot for him soon. Surprisingly the spot he might take is gibsons
  12. How did we turn a game we couldn't win into a game that is going to crap out our pen?
  13. Why in the hell would molly pull gibson so he can have Tonkin up an inning later?
  14. I wonder why they pulled gibson. The game is done why tax the pen?
  15. Make him suffer to 110 pitches. Seems he gets a pass on these boards - he's hardly a sure thing.
  16. Just tuned in and see that our friend Kyle has dug us a hole. He is quickly becoming one of the starters to be worried about.
  17. Count me in on this plan but after a couple more turns in the rotation so we have better info on all involved.
  18. I think is interesting that Jay throwing 94 on his 93rd pitch is a big deal when the rest of his line wasn't good. And that he used 93 pitches to get through 5 innings.
