  1. Actually Berrios is looking better. He's been around the plate more and the stuff is there. He obviously needs to command all his pitches better. When he is ahead in the count he is fine.
  2. I don't know as it is this simple. Many pitchers show the ball behind their back without issue. I've always been told that hitters focus on the anticipated release point in order to pick up the ball at the earliest point. Even if he had a perfect circle change grip it would be visually different on the backswing. I think his biggest problem is just being in hitters counts all the time.
  3. Interesting. Makes the tank it or blow it up strategies look not quite as attractive.
  4. I'm not at all worried about a candidate pulling out that signed Pablo Sandoval to a $70 million plus contract.
  5. I've been wondering about the radar gun readings. We heard about shaggy and light hitting 98 or so but they haven't come close to that in the bigs. Is this a difference in radar guns or are they not throwing as hard in the big leagues?
  6. I'm old. That last throw from Sano might be the hardest throw I've seen from third base. Definitely worth giving him a chance to try and become an acceptable 3rd baseman.
  7. Ok so it might comfort some posters to see another manager inexplicably in love with the bunt. Also I think we have one less unanswered question; Tyler Duffey is not a starter in a food big league rotation.
  8. I would also shop him hard and throw in enough prospect talent to obtain a pitcher who will be near the top of the rotation next year and many years. They need pitching and none is on the horizon. Polanco provides obp that this lineup badly needs and I am beginning to think that 2nd base is the only spot where his glove will be adequate.
  9. Trade Dozier for the best pitcher you can get. Put may in there and you have a competitive team next year.
  10. It actually seems like the most trite beaten to death topic in the history of the internet. There is literally nothing new to discuss on this topic and hasn't been for about three years.
  11. TR greatest parting gift is a well stocked farm system which is the most important factor of any. They have some potential high end players and enough depth that if some bust we will still be ok.
  12. Here is the point people are trying to make. Nobody on these boards says Joe isn't overpaid. Nobody. Everyone would like Joe to hit for more power. Everyone. He has a guaranteed contract with a no trade clause. He's not going anywhere and he contributes enough to be playing. Get over it.
  13. We have no idea what Jim pohlad is like or how good a businessman he is (I suspect very good). However he needs to not speak in public. I've never seen a high profile person say such dumb things.
  14. The more I think about this it has to be about money. The pohlads wouldnt intervene in pure baseball decisions. I'm guessing they want anybody making decent money gone and TR objected.
  15. Agreed. He's on the other end of the spectrum from TR but there are plenty of ways to make bad decisions
  16. I'm guessing there was a disagreement but who wanted what?I also have to say that I think TR is a good person and probably should have been given the chance to resign at the end of the year. I suppose they could have given that option and he refused....
  17. I'm shocked and a little concerned. If nothing happens at the trade deadline because the org is in turmoil it could be a serious blow. And I also agree with nearly everyone else that Antony can't be the guy.
  18. I like Mollie as a guy but sooner or later the horrible fundamentals has to come back to him. Grossman getting picked off on a hit and run is just bad.
  19. Would you do this trade: santana, nick Gordon and kohl Stewart for jurickson profar?
  20. .321 and on pace for 22 homers and 42 steals. Don't really see the need for the article.
  21. I would not trade him unless you got a really good pitching prospect in return. The Twins can be decent next year and simply don't have enough starters or potential starters. If we trade him we will scouring the bargain bin next year for starters.
  22. Plouffe has to go. I would put Abad in the has to go category as well. The rest have some strings attached. If you keep Dozier Polanco should get moved for value and vice versa. I would keep Santana as they need all the starting pitching they can get. I would trade Susuki if I could get something for him. If not I would sign him for cheap to be Tha backup next year.
  23. I would keep him as I would be trading both Plouffe and Dozier. He would be great insurance in case Polanco didn't work out.
