    The Twins messed up by not extending Johan early on. But yeah in general I agree that arms are much riskier. Sano though? No brainer. Power doesn't drop off until 34-35-36 Lock him up til 32/33. That still allows him another massive contract at that point as well.

    Yup, and this is ultimately what sank them previously. They never ever ever ever showed the urgency (or even close to it) when they had Mauer, Morneau, Hunter, Cuddyer, Johan, Liriano, Nathan, Radke etc in their primes. UGH!!!!!!!!

    Sano is fine at 3rd base (which isn't that important of a defensive position at the end of the day anyways) CF SS 2B C are all more important. 3B/LF/RF/1B are all much less important.

    I said it when Sano was brought up the first time: They should have immediately signed him to a contract where it gave the Twins 2-3 team options (or just buy the first 2-3 years of FA out) At this point, there is zero reason for Sano to even consider an extension unless the Twins make him a great offer (spoiler alert: the penny pinching pohlad probably will never do that again) Sano has the bat, personality and game to be a bonafide star in this league from a talent and marketing standpoint (think of how many commercials you saw big Papi in once he put up numbers in Boston?) I hate to say it, but I'm 80% sure that Sano will be a Dodger, Yankee or Red Sox when it's all said and done. For now we should just enjoy the Sano show and pray that he can get us a title prior.

    Hehe Also I spotted a wild verified itstimetotakeit post on the wild FB page the other day after game 5, Kab, fro, pig and us had a good laugh. I will PM you the screen shots. Looks like stat has traded in his love of tweeting at porn stars to retweeting bible verses...I mean, good for him, bummer for us. Still no Dankind updates, I dated his distant cousin for a hot minute in college, she mentioned that he was the blackest of black sheep a family could have. Apparently not everyone appreciates the 3 M's in life: Mullets, Mauer Hot Takes and Metallica t shirts. That about does it for this BYTO where are they now update!

    Bitcoin still going up up up. Might have to cash in a couple though, wedding planning costs have been going up up up at a much higher rate :-/

    Santana is a stud. If he keeps this up he certainly needs to be traded unless the Twins literally find themselves within 2-3 games of the DIVISON lead on July 31st or in a WC spot at the time IMO. They need some live young arms for the future, a guy like Santana should be able to bring a couple back.

    I think having Mauer bat in front of Sano is the smart thing to do, Mauer is a bit of a shell of his former self, but he still isn't going up to the plate swinging wildly and striking out a ton. I think it's very clear that the Twins want Sano to cut down on his strike outs this season, having him hit behind Mauer, see all of his at bats close up IMO is a good way to do that. I think Mauer ends up with a decent .750-.770 OPS anyways. If anything I'd rather have Mauer bat 2nd and Sano bat 3rd. Bring up Park and have him DH/bat 4th.

    This is the key with Buxton, and why I am glad they moved him down sooner rather than later. Hopefully the kid can figure it out soon, maybe this off day will help, if I were the Twins I would have him taking extra extra extra BP every day.

    Yeah Kepler needs to be playing 162 (or damn close to it) Rosario could be platooned, but then again Grossman is terrible defensively. You know who would be a PERFECT platoon partner/4th OF for this team? Aaron. Hicks.

    Buxton hitting third really paying off. Molitor proving again why he is the WORST manager in baseball. Meanwhile there is a good shot Sano won't get to the plate this inning.

    Lastly: betterment, on advice from the fiancé I put some long term savings/investment into them. 90% stock 10% bond. So far in 8 months: 9.4% return. Not bad. Especially when it outpaces similar type things I had with tRowe etc, and the fees are much much better

    Also WWE stock is up 22% since I bought it, not a sexy amount, but I think it's going to continue to grow in the near and mid terms. They bet on SVOD early in the game, and it's starting to pay off.

    At the Mets game currently. Man I wish we had a pitcher like Thor.... Re: Twins, somehow they are a pick em game in the eyes of Vegas today. Hopefully they can get an opening day win and at least give us a day or two of hope this season. Sano, Dozier and Buxton with bombs today. Twins Win 8-4
