    Yeah the problem isn't so much the Angels, it's that there are like 4 other teams within striking distance, where a 10-2 run would almost certainly catipult them into the spot if the Twins play .500 or slightly above .500 ball

    After the robbed home run, he looked halfway decent. I'd love to see Perk continue his career to be honest. Even if he is just a 4th or 5th option out of a pen.

    At this stage, where the team sits and how they look for the future, I don't see how you can trade Dozier. I'd be hesitant with an extension, I would agree to a 3 year extension at around 23 mil a year, but I could see Dozier wanting to get a 5 year deal on the open market. Though 69 million gives him peace of mind in the interim. He still should be productive at age 34.

    Warning!!!! hot sports opinions incoming Souhan and his ilk are why nobody reads local newspapers anymore. He's just writingg this nonsense for page views/paper buys but luckily people are smart enough to see through what it is. Complete garbage. Unreal the hit piece that he publishes the second Sano gets hurt.

    It's a shame the Pohlads, Ryan and co never actually tried to win a title during Mauer's tenure here. The guy is easily one of the 5 best players in Franchise History and helped lead the team to several playoff berths. He is a future hall of famer, him not success in the playoffs is a true waste of amazing talent. I few Dozier is a somewhat similar but not nearly as tragic way.

    It's not just bc they lost three against LAD They have been skidding for a while, The league has caught up to berrios and Santana has turned back into a (very good) #3 Without those guys pitching lights out the rotation is doomed for 17

    Good trade. JRM is nothing but AAA filler, getting any live arm is a good trade, especially one that has shown some nice success. Arizona really loves taking our poor catchers off our hands!

    Recker is AAA filler. Depth never hurts.

    It's a good trade. Garcia is a solid pitcher who can be counted on. The Twins 3/4/5 situation has been a disaster all season long. Sucks giving up a young pitcher with promise, but it's not like the Twins have been able to develop any young throwers anyways over the last 10 years (sans Berrios)

    Trading Stewart at this stage would be very dumb, I highly doubt the Twins do it.

    Lot of freaking out over what will likely be a non prospect. This is a good trade for the Twins assuming they don't give up a good prospect (they won't) They absolutely need a solid 4/5 type guy
