  1. I think we'll see more power from Arraez in future seasons. He has the build for it and a great ability to put the big part of the bat on the ball. I had my doubts at times during the season about his long term potential, but I think he'll be a key part of the Twins lineup for many years to come.
  2. He doesn't care for Falvey and Levine. He has his opinion. You don't need to go after him personally like that and belittle him with a name like "champ". Seems like behavior that the Owner of this site shouldn't indulge in. Out of all the comment-ers I would have expected you to be the one to show some decency in your rebuttals to other's opinions.
  3. So the Twins have 3 outfielders out right now (Cave, Buxton, and Kepler) and they choose to bring in an infielder?
  4. I'm surprised there are so many people that are pro-Hildenberger here. What exactly have you seen from him recently that is promising? Look at his 2019 pre-AAA numbers, his 2019 AAA numbers, and his 1 outing in September. None of that has shown promise. He may have done ok at the beginning of the season, but even his numbers last year were average/below average. Last year had a 1.38 WHIP and a 5.42 ERA. I don't see any value in this guy. I'm sure there's going to be an argument that he was effective for the first month, but also look who the Twins were playing when they used him. KC, Detroit, Toronto, Baltimore. Hardly formidable lineups. As soon as the Twins used him against Houston and NY he gave up 2 ER in each of those appearances. Then he even allowed multiple runs against Detroit and the Angels in the middle of May.
  5. I'm sorry, but Hildenberger shouldn't even be in the consideration for a postseason bullpen spot. He looked awful before he was sent down to AAA and he looked awful in his 1 appearance since getting the September callup. Twins, please move on from him.
  6. I have to disagree with the potent offense part as of right now. An outfield consisting of Rosario, Wade, and either Miller/LaMarre is not potent what so ever. Also with Cruz, Sano and Cron (thumb) dealing with nagging injuries we need a consistent and powerful bat to fill the void we have right now. Cleveland is still within striking distance and a lineup similar to the one that we threw out on Sunday is very worrying because there is not much fire power in there. Twins need a reinforcement. Kirilloff should be that guy. I wouldn't be expecting him to come up and make an immediate impact, but I bet he would give the Twins much better at bats than either Wade, Miller, or LaMarre.
  7. I think serious talks need to be had about stretching out Dobnak, Thorpe or Smeltzer into a starter to take Berrios potential playoff spot in the rotation if this continues. I don't know how Rocco could trust Berrios in a big game with the stuff he's shown the past month.
  8. I know Eddie is a fan favorite, but I don't think we'll see him in a Twins uniform in 2021. I bet they sign him to a 1-year deal this offseason and have Larnach ready to go in left for 2021.
  9. Agreed. I don't understand all the preemptive concern. The Twins are a good road team and they have more talent than the Red Sox. I think the Twins have a good shot at taking the series.
  10. Lewis is still young. Also I think surrounding him with guys who are similar in age and have similar major league trajectories, but are more consistent hitters (Larnach and Kirilloff) will continue to help him. It seems like the front office is promoting those guys in tandem. Wouldn't surprise me to see all three of them starting in Rochester next year, and then possibly all three of them starting for the Twins the year after.
  11. I think Garver should stay behind the plate. 1st base will occupied by Kirilloff either next year or the next. I think the Twins will sign Cron to a 1 year deal and then keep groming Kirillof to be the 1st baseman of the future. I do think Garver should get some reps at first as a backup though.
  12. Does any one know what the Tigers' batting average against the Twins is this season? It's gotta be at least .280. Maybe higher. And they are the worst offense in the AL.
  13. Well most likely the Twins would start the ALDS with 2 away games, so hopefully their trend of doing well on the road continues into October.
  14. Speaking of Kohl Stewart, I think it's about time for the Twins to let him go. He's been a disappointment throughout his minor and major league history. High WHIP, high ERA, low K/9. Clear the spot on the 40-man for a better prospect.
  15. May has been absolutely lights out the past couple weeks. The Twins bullpen has really been a strength lately.
  16. If Cave shows more patience at the plate and puts up a similar OPS. Yes I think Cave could win the starting spot.
  17. Pensacola has had some pitching studs roll through this year. Graterol, Alcala, Dubnak, Ober, Duran, Smeltzer. Future pitching looks bright. Unfortunately most of that talent can't help the current Twins pitching staff.
  18. ^Love this tweet from Dustin Morse. Really admire the work ethic from Cruz. Proving to be one of the best FA signings in Twins history
