    He's probably #1 Twins prospect, and should start 2023 in Wichita, then move to St Paul in a month if he does well. Put him at 3B, spend the winter teaching Miranda how to field 1B, bring in a stopgap SS to make way for Lewis next year. By 2024 infield is Miranda/Arraez platoon 1B/DH, unknown 2B, Lewis SS, Lee 3B, Gordon utility. Or move Gordon to 2B and sign a utility guy. Cant imagine they will pay Polanco 10M in 2024, trade or buyout next year with him.

    The under the radar change happening is expanded cooperation with betting. MLB, MLBPA, local franchises all getting in bed with booking operations- what could go wrong? In 5 years in-game betting will erase any gains made in pace-of-play by pitch clock, we'll be waiting for bets to finalize what pitch is next, etc....Yep, what could possibly go wrong?

    I would say they are trying, the last 2 nights they didnt fold after getting behind. Admittedly, Clev hasnt exactly put the foot on the throat with the lead either. Maybe its a matter of who plays less worse? What can be said when the starting OF in the stretch run is Garlick, Cave, and Gordon? Too many AAAA guys, too much under-performance from ML guys, too many injuries....theyre still trying, but theyre just not good enough, The biggest highlight of Sep will end up being Arraez breaking up the no-no....clutch! I had them finishing 4th when season started. From that perspective, they have over-achieved. Its just not saying much given the division.

    This and 0-18 should be a 10 alarm raging fire call-to- action at the top of Twins' org chart. Names and seasons change, and results are consistent beyond random variance. They need a different plan. The "little engine that could" type of roster construction has failed, over and over, against the big boys. Ergo, it doesnt work. This should be a stick-head-in-sand embarrassment for all involved. Its pathetic.

    Pix of the 2023 base. 3" square differential, 99" more total area..... I am skeptical the change will have a significant impact on steal attempts. The resistance to steal attempts seems more strategic/philosophical for most mgrs. I dont care for it myself, I think steal attempts are more entertaining and just as strategic, if not more so, than waiting on power, so if it does end up generating more steals, I'd be good with it. Just have my doubts that this alone will do it.
