  1. Interesting thought. Feeling out the market wouldn't hurt. Nobody says a deal would have to be made. I still stubbornly consider him a starter in my head though.
  2. Agree completely. For most teams, it's about efficiently spending the money. By efficient, I mean spending on the correct players at the correct positions at the correct times. This team has generally struck out on those three points over and over again. It's not how much they spend, it's been where, how, and when.
  3. If they're able to build a lineup from within, they have plenty of resources to fill in the holes in their pitching staff.
  4. I just got back from vacation. Timing is not my friend today. Workload isn't either. I'm going to pay for this afternoon later this week.
  5. I think I know what you're talking about, but I don't remember the particulars either. This is certainly a crazy scenario.
  6. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/08/marlins-return-colin-rea-padres-elbow.html I'll let them explain it.
  7. No that this has anything to do with the Twins, but the Colin Rea bit is interesting. Don't recall ever seeing something like that before.
  8. The Duffy to the pen thing seems to point towards no, unfortunately. At this point at least.
  9. They still have something so much sweeter though! I present to you, Danny Santana.
  10. Agreed, I'm just not sure that the return featuring a bucket of already chewed Double Bubble and a bag of baseballs with the covers knocked off of them is the HUGE deal that we have in mind.
  11. I think Suzuki, Abad, Kintzler, and Ervin get dealt. I don't see any reason for the first three on that list to be around by tonight and see an Ervin deal as less likely, but I think somebody will pull the trigger. Otherwise, like alarp33 said, I'm good with the new GM dealing Ervin (if not dealt) and Dozier in the offseason. I'm not sure what to do about Plouffe at this point. He may just have to ride pine next season.
  12. Nice intro. The baseball card bits always get me. I still have all of mine, but my dad continues to kick himself to this day. He gave all of his away for nothing. Shoe boxes full that included Mickey Mantle's, Hank Aaron's, Willie Mays', etc etc. Whenever he tells the story, I want to kick him too.
  13. Could be, but my understanding has always been that score doesn't matter. The verbiage of the rule doesn't say anything about it either, but I guess I don't know for sure.
