  1. My vote would be that we haven't seen the concertina beer pouring/drinking video.
  2. Same here. I'd argue that it's inconsistently implemented. Some times I think it should be called and isn't, other times it is called and looks like a ridiculous call.
  3. Biff and his almanac just informed me that Grossman will ground out to 2B.
  4. No kidding. Where does that slippery slope end? "Uh, I meant to hit a home run, but I only popped up to the catcher". Ump:"ok, round the bases. You best not being lyin'!"
  5. Just don't tell North and he'll never know. I'm sure nobody here will mention it.
  6. No worries, it's all good. If you're at work, I'd prefer if you were working, but that's the manager in me talking. Save it for a break. You're getting paid to work, not tweet. Outside of that, how you spend your free time is your business not mine. Speaking of which, my lunch is almost over...
  7. Like I mentioned in another post, I generally don't see them in a negative light. They're just not something that interests me. I'd find them more of an annoyance than useful if I did use them, which is why I don't. I get annoyed enough when coworkers are getting notifications and whatnot during the workday. Time and place. Other than that, if you enjoy that stuff, knock yourself out. You'll get no complaints from me.
  8. That may be great for some, but that would just drive me nuts. If I'm in a position where up to the minute updates wouldn't be bothersome altogether, I'm either already watching the game or following along close enough that up to the minute updates are useless. All other times, I don't want to be constantly bothered by notifications or updates. I don't need to have up to the minute information at all times. I don't want up to the minute information at all times. As much as I love sports, I simply have other things that take priority during most of my day. I'll get the information I want when I have time to get it.
  9. That wouldn't work for me. My wife is a hold out as well. We somehow found each other in the days of MySpace without actually having a MySpace account. We keep in touch with the people that we want to keep in touch with by actually talking to them on the phone (gasp!), emailing, or even meeting up somewhere. Even for 35 year olds like ourselves, it's amazing how foreign a concept those things are among our peers. Generally, we have no ill will towards social media, we just aren't interested in it.
  10. As a social media hold out, I've survived just fine. I don't feel like I'm missing a thing and comments like these simply reinforce that. This is as close as I come to social media, and I'm okay with that.
  11. A friend tells me that a backwards thong is no laughing matter.
  12. Of those options, I like 2 the best and it is what I would look for in a trade. I just think that an established arm would be too expensive. I also really like the idea of most of the young guys potentially peaking at the same time. Bringing in an almost ready minor league SP would fit that bill.
  13. Depending on the bartender, ordering a Slippery Nipple could work out for you. ...Or go horribly wrong.
  14. I've actually seen Charo. She was performing on a cruise that my wife and I were on. I had little desire to see her, but my wife really wanted to go so of course we went. I didn't realize she played guitar either. I have to say that I came away really impressed with her classical guitar skills. I didn't care much for the rest of it, but I did really enjoy her musical talents.
  15. I wish you'd keep pictures of Uranus to yourself... Yes, I am aware that isn't Uranus.
  16. In my experience, they're even pretty inconsistent on what they're consistent on.
  17. I've been to the Trop a handful of times. It's a complete dump, worse than the Metrodome. Horrible atmosphere to watch a game in. I legitimately feel bad for the players, particularly Rays players that have to deal with it every home game.
