  1. I was watching pregame and on person mentioned he wanted to see what the Twins hitters do with Severino's fastball since they are a great fastball hitting team.
  2. Flags are at half mast at Yankee Stadium...and I believe everywhere else too. Certainly all Federal Locations including the base I work at.
  3. 'Todd Frazier has hit 40 HRs multiple season in the majors' Apparently one season constitutes 'multiple'. Could ESPN be on the Yankees junk more?
  4. Marvels The Inhumans wasnt any good.
  5. I wouldnt have any pitcher we throw out there for the WC game pitch more than one time through the lineup. Severino is much better than anyone we have going, so with it being only 1 game, I wouldnt let the Yanks lineup see the same pitch twice.
  6. The guy I work with, who I sit right next to, is a Tigers fan. Another reason why this season has been so good :-)
  7. The Yankees aren't going to be scared by having Sano on the bench. No team is. He should DH both game this weekend. If he seems to be on his game, then DH him for the Wild Card game. If not, consider not even having him on the WC roster, cause as great of a hitter as he is, if he's not ready, he's not ready.
  8. https://www.fangraphs.com/library/pitching/fip/ ● FIP does a better job of predicting the future than measuring the present, as there can be a lot of fluctuation in small samples. It is less effective in describing a pitcher’s single game performance and is more appropriate in a season’s worth of innings. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a retrospective statistic, simply that it requires more than a handful of innings to be a reliable indicator of performance, just like any statistic.
  9. Sonny Gray FIP 3.90, Ervin Santana 4.46. Sonny Gray xFIP 3.76, Ervin Santana 4.77. Ervin Santana averaged about one more out per start. Then again, Yankees bullpen is way more trustworthy, so the Yankees had no issues with pulling a starter.
  10. So I was out last night watching the football game, and I ordered a Monte Cristo. Now, I've never had one, but I was curious why that was the only sandwich where they purposely offered a half. Even the waiter asked, 'Half?' I said nope. Then I found out why they actively offer a half. I was only starting to get hungry around 4 PM today.
  11. Is it sad I yelled he got it as soon as it left the bat? Scared my mother-in-law, my daughter and my dog!
