  1. https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb-rumors-heres-mets-want-220321401.html This article says they want 1 top 30 prospect and a couple more pieces. That would mean Lewis or Kiriloff, not both. I'd do that deal...
  2. you know when people make bad business decisions? It's when they let emotions take control... Don't let that happen here. If the FO thinks he can help and the cost is reasonable, I have no problem bringing him back.
  3. I think the Twins offense will continue to be a kind of boom or bust thing. They don't have a bunch of high OBP guys and only one base stealing threat (and do you really want him possibly getting hurt trying to steal a base?). Get ready for the continuing roller coaster.
  4. I don't see Rooker being nearly as productive as Cron hitting or fielding.
  5. Maybe this team is reverting to what it really is. Average at best pitching and a boom or bust offense. The defense really has to better than it has been the last 2 weeks.
  6. Probably. He knows he only has a couple of games to somehow try to make a case to stay up.
  7. I understand that, I was pointing out the seeming contradiction of seldomly but regularly reaching first base. It can't be both. It's either occurs seldomly or regularly....
  8. I'm not going to argue that you are wrong with the major premise of your post, but I think your numbers are faulty. How many of the 2700 AB were with at least a runner on first base for a DP to be a possibility? That will change the percentages. How much I don't know....
  9. Sure, the Twins are 34-2 after leading after 7, but having big leads has masked the bullpens shortcomings at least a little. They gave up 7 runs to Tampa bay and 6 or 7 to the Angels not too long ago besides last night's meltdown. Seriously, besides Rogers and Harper, who do you feel confident in to come in and get the job done? And there doesn't appear to be any help available in the minors. Many of us wanted an upgrade to the bullpen in the off season.
  10. Great feel good story for Smeltzer and the Twins. Fun to see him have a great start. Not to be a Debbie Downer but to me his stuff looks really fringy. Kind of like a Tommy Milone. His delivery might make it look a little faster but if teams see him more than once, it probably won't go well. Hope i'm wrong.
  11. I don't think there is any guessing. I had a MRI on my elbow about 2 weeks ago for elbow pain that happened at the gym. the doctor could see where I had partially torn tendons in my elbow in the MRI. I'm pretty sure ligaments are the same way.
  12. It's crazy looking at how many in the lineup are slugging over .500, and Buxton is close at .490...
