  1. Me too, those 3 I pretty much trust implicitly, but looking at the rest of the pen I gotta ask: Trust with what? like Pagan for instance, he’s “fine”, I trust him ok for a hold, wouldn’t trust him in a “late and close” situation
  2. Sure, just like we’re expressing our opinions here. It’s not the what, it’s the how
  3. Jax has been very good and improving as the season progresses, seeing that xwOBA trend down over the last 100 PAs tells me Jax is embracing his role as a relief pitcher and should be used in some higher leverage spots. having Jax added to Duran and Smith to the closer/setup man leverage mix helps quite a bit. additionally, between now and the trade deadline, they need to churn the Megill, Cotton, Cano et al. group of pitchers to see what you have in higher upside arms on the farm. Maybe Canterino, or Jordy Blaze or someone else, not sure, but those three aren’t moving the needle much. One of them should get swapped out for a swing man, and one for another short appearance reliever at least. Im starting to think Duffey needs to go. We’re past the blip of “it’s a bad stretch but he can recover” phase. Instead of swapping two of Cano, Megill, Cotton, maybe only one and Duffey
  4. “Acerbic” is good word, one I don’t use is my day-to-day often enough. im not a big fan of booing players in general. They’re allowed opinions just like the rest of us. edit to add: I forgot about the Anderson thing. Still not a fan of booing players, but that particular issue isn’t as excusable as just being a jerk.
  5. I assume Buck likes velvet like George Costanza I know I do
  6. Archer’s best outing of the season. Good timing. In the warmups Gladden scoffed because Archer’s last outing was his longest at 57 pitches for quite some time (2019 I think) I doubt he comes back out for the 6th at 70 pitches
  7. Cmon Twins, good chance to put a run or two on the board!
  8. You choose to focus on one of the team’s best players being back as a good thing, or you can choose to complain about it. Like I tell my eight year old, it’s up to you if you want to be happy in life.
  9. I’m happy to see C4 back too! He’s vital to the lineup
  10. Agreed, also think it’s safe to assume that if he didn’t have any symptoms he’d have been out the minimum 5 days rather than the 8 or 9 days he was out
  11. Agreed he has to go as far as possible. As far as possible seems likely to be 3 innings. Things have been falling apart for Archer in the 4th inning like clockwork.
  12. Maybe get him one or two by trade deadline? Pretty please with sugar on top?
  13. How is it, that Duffey’s ERA is “only” 6.55? Seems like every time I tune in for his appearance he puts up a nasty crooked number and can’t get out of the inning?
