  1. It might be doable to avoid dealing Sano and Buxton. But it's two of four of Meyer, Berrios, Gordon, or Stewart. All probably with Santana too. However Amaro does have a bad tendency to want a "replacement" for the departed, looking at the Pence trade.
  2. I really would like to see him by June 19. Incidentally I have tickets for that game.
  3. I could see Plouffe doing a Zobrist or Cuddyer impression, playing spot 1B, 3B, OF when necessary. If (When?) Sano comes up, Plouffe would basically replace Hunter and Nunez, which has value.
  4. Meh, I don't think Berrios will get the nod. If anything, the Twins need to save the extra year of control and have other alternatives.
  5. While that FIP is impressive, something makes me think he will never achieve that in reality, even with a fantastic defense behind him.
  6. It seems like the Twins were the affiiate for a long time with NB. I remember going to a NB game with Twins affiliates when I was 6, and that was 19 years ago!
  7. I've always thought that the one position begging for a Platoon is C. It's a position that mandates giving up PA's to rest anyways... I realize finding a solid lefty catcher is difficult but they are out there.
  8. Angels have traded away nearly everybody in their system, which means it would take major league talent to make it work, which they won't do because of their situation. Conversely Kole Calhoun could make an interesting trade for Brian Dozier
  9. I agree with Arcia that he should try and play his game, but on the other hand both should try and take a 2 strike approach when they have 2 strikes on them! Make the pitch be there, choke up, shorten the swing, and get some contact! Arcia only has 3 HR's with two strikes on him, so this isn't when he is seeing the ball. He needs to work the pitcher and when he gets two strikes on him, work on putting it in play. If he cuts down his K% rate by 5-10 percent he will see a corresponding rise in BA and OBP. However, he should be just taking a normal approach in neutral and hitter's counts.
  10. The questions marks mean prospects will have to come up and fill those roles. Arcia will be in RF, Vargas at DH, Nolasco will have a rotation spot, Meyer might have one as well next year. Hopefully May gets going and earns one. I wouldn't really bother on a 3B for any longer then a one year contract. Same with LF (or CF). I don't think I would sign any pitchers this off-season because it's time for the Twins to see what they have. Nolasco, Hughes, Meyer, May, Gibson.
  11. You want to exclude Buxton? He's still a top 3 prospect in all of baseball!
  12. I think we can agree that Correa needs to take a seat...
  13. The signings are STILL not bad ideas, it's the use of 40 man and 25 man roster space that is the issue.
  14. Manziel = Flop in the making

    Miguel Sano L-R splits

He did the same thing though at Ft. Myers this year. L:301/363/521 R:346/454/729. That's a crazy split and oddly enough in the wrong direction...
  16. Gonna disagree for two reasons. 1. Pitchers are extremely hard to predict and simply the more you have in your system the better. 2. Having many productive OF's is a good thing, but having many SP's? They are gold. You can trade a solid SP at anytime for a good price, you can't always so that about positional players.
