  1. I would not be surprised if Antony is named full time GM at the end of the season. But even if that does happen, we can hope for an outside President of baseball operations.
  2. Has anybody seen Gonsalves's Dad on here in awhile? Didn't he pop in and make some comments a couple of times? I'm always curious for some greater insight.
  3. Meyer dominating, Gordon showing some power (2 XBH's!), Tyler Jay only allowing three hits (albeit with a Hughes like line). Kohl dominating yesterday. Not a bad sign from the big prospects. Now only if Buxton and Sano can get it together!
  4. All this is fair, but the closest person I could find to that value last year was Avisail Garcia, who is a known statue. That's a pretty big miss on a talented OF like Rosario. And while I don't know this, you'd think the projection would know to at least separate IF, OF, and C numbers for projections. Some guys are good at one at terrible at the other. Others suck at all three (I'm looking at you Doumit.)
  5. Defense doesn't slump, so the Rosario projection is wild to me. I can the regression, but flipping it on its head is so stupid, as to make me question the system's defensive worthiness.
  6. I would really like to see Arcia get his shot however, and he needs it now. There is of course the service time element to this as well.
  7. Why? I don't understand this argument at all. Escobar showed he can be an above average SS for the second year running. It's not like he is much worse then the Flores, Tejada, or other Escobar.
  8. Radke reminds me of James Shields, except Shields is better (2 more K/9, .5 point lower FIP and ERA, albeit with a higher BB/9) And by this I mean a player that eats a lot of innings and is durable. Difference being Shields is a #2 and Radke a #3.
  9. I'd be OK with a one-day signing for sentiment. Does this ever happen in baseball? Is there a rule for this?
  10. I'm happy for Torii. I'm also happy that the temptation is gone.
  11. I found this, It goes like this: Team B @ Team A Team C @ Winner of A/B Angels would have first selection, followed by Astro's, then Twins. Basically it would be Twins @ Astro's then Angels @ Winner of Twins or Astro's.
  12. How's #1 work? Let's assume they choose it, play the Twins first and lose. What next? Twins host the Astro's? Other way around? Also in #2 who gets to host the Twins/Astro's game?
  13. Flying to Chicago and then Houston in two days probably drains his endurance pretty quickly (and then he would need to sit a day).
  14. How is pitching the strength? I would only want Liriano.
  15. I'm OK with the Twins not doing much. Let them pay the offseason price for a catcher and bullpen help. Let Polanco play at SS and see what we have got there. If he hits and fields we got our man. If he hits, but doesn't field he is tradeable.
  16. Two Words. Gambler's Fallacy. They aren't playing as well as they should be right now. It's not regression it's bad performance (luck?)
  17. Situation to think about. Dozier to SS (I know). Polanco to 2B. Probably more of an Offseason move.
  18. Yea I know, it might be an offseason move. Or we send them something and Suzuki (who we would barely count towards the trade) to cover in the mean time.
