  1. DeLeon and Alvarez are on the table. You can disagree or not believe me if you want, but that's what has been offered and continues to be offered. The third piece is where the huge gape remains
  2. Also Doogie is a great media person and has gotten some very nice scoops in the past. He's one of the better ones in TC market IMO
  3. Except for the fact that even espn is saying there is nothing cooking. Also the teams just don't line up that well. I don't doubt he was told this by his Twins sources, but as my source (who has been right every step of the way other than original timing) has said: Dodgers are and remain the only real "contender" I'm sure the Cards called up to see what it would take at some point, just both sides new there was little chance.
  4. Even espn just ran an item on the bottom line backing up my report (for weeks) that a team like the Cards were never in the running. Doogie, what happened?
  5. He doesn't. I confirmed it with my source, as I have been saying for weeks now (via my source) the Dodgers have been and remain the only serious player. The rest is just spin.
  6. Terrible was a bit rough, my bad. But he doesn't have the upside IMO and has no reason being on a rebuilding club.
  7. Wong is terrible. The more and more I think on this the more I think that this is 100% the Twins spinning things (not a bad thing) I just don't see the Cards parting with an elite enough package to top DeLeon and Alvarez personally. Cards Nats Mets Giants would all love to have dozier of course, none will give up the pieces though most likely.
  8. I'd take Nationals and Giants interest with a pound of salt. Cards could help drive up the cost. Which is nice, this could get the Dodgers to give up the third piece the Twins want!
  9. Nobody is saying any of the things you are claiming they are saying...
  10. So yeah, you basically said it's "clear" all those players raped her. I said nothing is clear. It's a very difficult situation, but I have a tough time just saying that ten young men are rapists. Especially since none have been charged if I'm reading correctly? I'm not "taking sides" at all, it's a just a terrible situation all around no matter what.
  11. Yeah, I have little sympathy for the players who are doing the boycott this is a very very very poor hill to die on. Nothing positive at all is going to come from this.
  12. I don't think anything is "clear" to be honest.
  13. http://deadspin.com/report-minnesota-football-players-plan-to-boycott-bowl-1790167029?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_facebook&utm_source=deadspin_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow This is just a very sad story all around.
  14. Nice minor league depth, I think we just lost a guy in the rule 5 draft as well, so this was needed.
  15. See that is exactly why I think Rosario would have nice value as a CF for many teams. I think he could hit enough to be at least "average" for a MLB CF, and could handle the defense at least average as well. An "average" MLB CF has a ton of value IMO. Just doesn't hit enough to be a corner OF type, especially on a team that frankly isn't getting any power currently from: 1B/DH/SS/C and even the other corner OF spot (Kepler) isn't a 30 HR guy now as well. If Mauer was smacking 25 a year behind the dish or something, we had Ortiz at DH hitting 40 dongs, Kepler was hitting 30 and Dozier (who likely will be traded) hitting 40, then we could survive with a guy like Rosario in LF, but at this stage? we need a guy with pop, plain and simple.
  16. Video from the last time Nick and I hung out, which I think was at Twins legend Frankie Rodriguez's club/bar?
  17. Well said. I'm not trying to rag on the guy as Santana probably has a spot with several other ogs at this stage of his career, but for a rebuilding team like the Twins? Absolutely not. It would be like trading for Butera at this stage: Good backup for a contending team Pointless backup for a rebuilding team If that makes sense?
  18. I can't believe Danny Santana is still on the roster or even an option, I think he literally was one of the worst 2 or 3 position players in baseball the last 2 years or so. Storen would be a good get IMO.
  19. I appreciate the support, I really do. But honestly it's all good at this point! Like I said if this trade doesn't happen I will face the music like the nostradumbass that I really am and we will have fun with it. Personally, like I mentioned in another thread, if I ran the team I would actually be looking to extend Dozier a couple years, he could be a real nice piece of the core moving forward IMO and he is my third favorite current Twin behind Mauer and Perkins. Anyways, let's not derail this thread, but I do appreciate the kind words, even from a baseball bat! lol
  20. Yeah I think season ticket sales are going to be BRUTAL this season. The sales team have their jobs cut out for them.
  21. Lol yeah someone on Reddit deleted it! Lame! Still on meaning it's close, dodgers have made a "final offer" but who knows what that even means, final offers have even been known to change from time to time.
  22. Not digging my heels in, just relaying what my source (who is very credible and has been cleared with one owner and one mod) is saying. That's all!
