  1. Will there be a fall league this year? If so, any guesses as to who the Twins will send?
  2. Saw Winder a couple of times for the Surge, he was absolutely dominant. Love his build and his business attitude on the mound. Having seen him, Blaze, Duran and Canterino, Winder is by the most advanced and closest to helping out the big club.
  3. Definitely didn't have the under last night with Jax going. Great last 2 games for him and I hope this trend continues. 6 weeks ago Rocco was using him as a sacrificial arm, now he is looking legit.
  4. Was Sabato over drafted last year or was he projected to be a late first? Not sure how a guy can go from terrorizing college pitchers to a whiff machine. FO looks to have whiffed big on 2 #1 picks
  5. Hope we see Ryan up with the big club after a few games in St Paul. His stuff looked legit in the Olympics. We need him to claim a spot in next year's rotation
  6. Some 'fans' are just miserable people. Wish those people just followed soccer
  7. Alcala is not ready for pressure work. He has a great fastball and slider. He doesn't have pinpoint control, but I'm giving up on him yet. I'm sure the Trevor haters think Alcala should be in high A
  8. Pretty much somes up where I'm at. Don't get the hate for Donaldson. He is now one of 3 bats in the lineup that give the Twins good ABs every time up. Sure Miranda is getting close, but a year ago no one knew of him. Too bad Rogers got hurt, as I'm tired of him blowing games. To be fair to him, he is miscast as a closer and would be better off as 7th or 8th inning guy.
  9. He is higher ranked than any pitching prospect in our system and we have some good ones coming up
  10. People see $80M over 7 and fail to read about the creative escalators in the contract. Did the Twins make those escalators too hard to achieve? Or was the money not high enough for Buxton's agent? We will probably never know, but we will keep hearing that the Twins only offered $80M
  11. Pads got Frazier from Pitt today for 3 mediocre prospects IMO. They are not afraid to trade prospects, but might one back. I see Bux and Jose being great fits for them. Their OF is nothing great and a healthy Bux gives them a huge improvement. I want Abrams, but I doubt they will move him in any deal
  12. Until we know what the unique escalators were in that offer, I'm not complaining. Was it 7 years with potential for $120? $150? $200? Both sides need to be realistic if they want an agreement. Heck, Sano will make $14m next year, so no way it was less than that.
  13. You might get a low A guy with moderate upside trading him. Let Rooker play the next 65 games and get a real feel for how he has adjusted to MLB pitching. He is probably more of a 4A player, but we have the opening to see what he can do. Side note, sure hope there are a few studs available in the draft next year and this one year dip helps us long-term
  14. Barnes has looked a lot more MLB worthy at St Paul than Jax. Aside from his AAA stint in 2019, he has progressed nicely. Twins need to use the balance of the season to figure out if we have anyone to pencil for next year(but we have all said that before).
