  1. Loved watching Shane Mack play. There are a lot of good RP arms available this year, hope we hit the lottery
  2. True, but his lowest WHIP the past 4 years has been 1.42. He also regressed when he left the Rays pitching system last year. I am hopeful, but wouldn't put him in the top 10 of our SP prospects.
  3. I just don't see Strotzman as a big league SP option right now. His walk rate is just way to high for a MLB pitcher. Maybe the coaches can fix it, but I'm not betting on it
  4. Even if Dobnak can become an effective long innings guy out of the pen, it will be a win. If we roll with a bunch of young SPs next year, we are going to need a guy that can go multiple innings a few days a week.
  5. Those first 5 are less than exciting. I follow the minors quite a bit and had only heard of 2 of these guys
  6. Woods-Richardson is a big part of any future Twins success. Can they harness his potential? Do they cut down his repertoire to focus on his 3 best pitches? More importantly, can he stay healthy to allow the Twins to build up his arm to 120+IPs?
  7. Only if you getting someone like Mantas or better back in the deal that is controllable for multiple years
  8. Sign Big Mike, trade for Gray or Montas and find a reliable back end bullpen guy. I'm fine with Gordon at SS until Lewis is ready.
  9. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out how the players proposals would hurt many markets. As a small market writer, the OP should at least have a clue. Players want to remove the soft cap, hurting small markets
  10. Now please stay healthy Buxton! Very solid contract for both sides. Wish they were in on Gray before he signed with the Rangers for around $14m per.
  11. Buxton needs to be signed, he is the face of the organization. I respect that the Twins have to protect themselves because of Buxton's injury history, but it sounds like Bux understands that as well. Get creative and if Buxton stays healthy and hits like he did down the stretch, he deserves $30m per year. If he pulls up lame again, cap the damages at $15m.
  12. Doggie isn't as connected as he wants people to believe. The FO might not have went 7 years, but I have a hard time believing they wouldn't go $18m for a solid #2 on a back loaded contract.
  13. Wow, sure thought he would get over $20m per. Good signing for Toronto.
  14. When healthy, Big Mike is more than a #3. While he isn't an ace, he can go toe to toe with almost anyone. Highly doubt we sign a top tier free agent, so I'd be fine with Big Mike being our opening day pitcher next year.
  15. Bring back Big Mike on another 2 year deal and spend the coin on Buxton.
  16. Some solid bounce back options, but my vote goes to Garver. He literally almost lost a nut and came back swinging a stiff stick. At the least he will be great trade bait after a healthy year
  17. Where do you play Gordon, Arraez and Polanco? Gordon is proving himself down the stretch and has been adequate at SS. Save the coin at SS and spend it on pitching
  18. I know Duran, Canterino and Wilder are on the IL, but where are they at health wise? Are the Twins hoping rest and rehab will keep them away from the knife? Been a painful year for the top pitching prospects.
  19. Twins have to take some gambles like this. Too early to tell if this one will work out, fingers crossed that it does.
  20. Hope he gets some more games at SS this month. Can he be a stopgap until Lewis is ready??
  21. Odd thing with the international list, no pitchers listed in the top 50(besides a 22 year old). Is that just because young pitchers also play SS?
