  1. At what point is Royce cled up to inject some life into this offense? I know they want him to get reps at SS, but dang we could use that bat in the OF!
  2. Behind Buxton, Arraez is my favorite Twin. (Correa is a 4 month rental IMO). Arraez gives you a great AB nearly every PA, doesn't complain above being moved around and seems well liked in the clubhouse. Not sure where his value lies, but I would love to see him locked up on a team friendly long term deal. I know it has been asked before about his knee, but I don't remember seeing an answer. Are his issues of degenerative nature? Or recurring issues from his knee surgery he had in the minors?
  3. Love this trade! Bit of a risk, but Paddock has the arm to be a solid #3-4 guy for 3 years. I will not miss Rogers blowing saves or Rooker striking out. Pagan needs to cut down on the HRs allowed and if he does, he is a strong addition to the pen. Good move by the braintrust
  4. I just don't trust Rogers as a closer. He is a great RP, but not a great closer. Hope he proves me wrong and dominates in his walk year
  5. If Bundy and Archer can rebound, stay healthy and give quality innings, this rotation is solid for the regular season. It is not a post season rotation though. Need one of the young guys to take a step up and be the next Joe Ryan. Sounds like Winder and Duran will open with the big club in the pen, hope they get enough innings to stay stretched out. Hate 5 and fly pitchers, but we will see way too much of it this year
  6. Have watched Cave and Celestino a handful of times this spring. Celestino looks lost at the plate, while Cave has consistently given professional ABs. Cave's job to lose IMO
  7. Hope Urshela rebounds and turns into a good trade asset in July. Need to see if Miranda is long term solution at 3B
  8. Detroit, Angel's and Royals are hot n after Montas too. It is going to take an impressive package to land him.
  9. Losing teams trade talent for prospects or hope. We gave up a top C and 3B for a below average 3B and C/DH that can't catch. I'm passing on the 2 long shot ML guys, who knows how they will do. Overall, this FO failed at bringing in value for the talent they sent out.
  10. Exactly what it is! Sanchez n Gio make a combined $14m and we shipped out over $27m. Sanchez is in his walk year and unless he has a great couple months, he won't bring value in the trade market
  11. Good breakdown! Love this trade for the Twins. If Ronny can be a good RP in the bigs next year, this will be a great trade.
  12. Same for me. Just a good baseball trade, need for need. Why do I have a feeling that this moves Martin to trade chip #1 with the A's.
  13. The union wants to stop teams from doing what the As are going to do IMO. I am shocked the union didn't get a floor salary # for every team.
  14. No college pitchers in your top 8? Is it a weak year for them?
  15. How cerebral is Ryan on the mound? Does he know what happens if contact is made on a certain pitch? Does he set up his pitches? He seems to have a bulldog mentality on the mound and I love that in his makeup. I see his control of his fastball and think of Maddux painting the corners or inducing a pop up. Neither guy has much for gas, but you don't need it if you can paint.
  16. Not that he is horrible on the road, it is that he wants to paid on his Coors Field stats. Top 18-20 SS doesn't warrant $20m+ per with OK glove. Strong pass at that price. Now if it was 1 year around $10-12m, sure.
  17. Gordon did play some SS down the stretch and did fine. I'd rather roll him out vs some over the hill Simmons
  18. Strong pass! Look at his home/road splits. He is nothing away from the mile high city. 241 avg, 310 OBP, 442 SLG vs 303 avg, 369 OBP, 603 SLG
  19. I also would want to know the type of knee injury before making a decision. If he DJD in the knees, I don't extend him and move him if he has good value. If we can't get something of value, I keep him until the knees become a real issue
  20. Starting to get into some legit big league prospects. If the Twins don't make any moves and instead go with a 6 man rotation, Sands and Srotman are options. Though I see Strotman in the pen, unless his control is fixed.
  21. I like Steer, he has a loud bat. Needs to cut down his Ks a bit and continue the power. Not sure he sticks at SS, though I believe he can be a regular in the Bigs
  22. Arraez is one of my favorite current Twins, as I'm more of an on base guy vs slugging. Anyone know what his knee issues are? Is degenerative joint issues or is it that he has had ligament issues over the years.
  23. How he became a Twin really doesn't matter to me. That trade is looking like am A+++++ right now. I am just not excited about him as a prospect
