  1. Let's see how Cleveland does with a runner on 3rd and 1 out.
  2. OK Jeffers, all we need is a can-o-corn fly ball here. Nothing special, just don't strike out or pop out.
  3. The big question is, how many more games will Duffey, Thielbar and Smith cost the Twins before they cut bait? These three guys could easily lose the Twins between 3-5 games before the trade deadline. Those losses will loom large in what's currently a very tight race, the Twins simply aren't good enough to have that kind of room for error.
  4. Twins strike out 15 times, continue to struggle with clutch hitting. Pagan isn't good and we've all known it for a while now. No way this team has a chance against Bieber tomorrow, and McKenzie has been great as well and he's throwing tonight. Statement series for Cleveland, should be an easy sweep for them. Chicago's right back in it as well. Next week's 5-gamer in Cleveland should be the nail in the coffin for the season.
  5. They've been shut out 9 times, and held to 3 runs or less THIRTY FIVE (35) times. Horrific. They've exploded for 11 runs, 12 runs, 10 runs every blue moon and that's inflating the stats.
  6. For all the hand-wringing about the pitching staff this year, you'd think that was this team's main problem. The bats have heated up for a game or two here and there, but overall this has been a well below-average offensive team. If Buxton's hot, it's must-see TV. If he's not, the team is almost unwatchable.
  7. Kepler's numbers looking pretty awful lately. 30 year-old corner outfielders who bat .230 and hit 12 HRs don't have much time left in the league.
  8. Very impressed with how Ryan has come back - going to finish with a QS and definitely did his job. Embarrassing offensive effort.
  9. How bad has Celestino been lately? I missed a lot of the West Coast games but his average seems to have fallen off a cliff. Haven't seen the guy with an xbh for ages it seems.
  10. Yep, I drafted him on my fantasy team. The guy was just getting shelled every time out there. He's not good.
  11. Nice walk Sanchez - let's take advantage of this gift, Twins.
  12. Agree with Smalley - don't understand the Twins offensive strategy here against Civale.
  13. Coulda used that single in the 1st inning, Kep. Nice base rap, but we need them with 2 outs and RISP.
  14. According to Bremer, Ryan said he had problems with stamina after his last start, likely attributed to his battle with the virus.
  15. 5Ks in the first 9 batters for Civale. First time the guy's pitched in a month and he's got a 7.84 ERA. This team straight up can't hit.
  16. Pretty bad start in what's increasingly looking like a must-win series. Let's hope the team brought the bats against Civale, who's been very very hittable this year. Dude's got a 7.34 ERA, no excuse not to torch this guy. He's Cleveland's Matt Shoemaker.
