  1. Reminds me of a bad Twins team from years ago when after another botched play, the announcer said, "And this team has all the earmarks of a loser." And that team had a lot of rookies with promise and we all knew they wouldn't be good yet. This team we expect to be competitive and win, making watching this crap that much harder to watch.
  2. At least the post game interviews would be more fun.
  3. Yeah, that "88 up in the zone" could be a big problem. When it comes to velocity, hasn't Astudillo shown us that heat ain't everything? ?
  4. If I'm the manager I'd probably take a baseball bat to the post game food table. If we're going to play like this, nobody eats. Plus, a mad guy smacking food all over the place with a baseball bat is pretty funny.
  5. Maybe its time for the names in a hat lineup drawing.
  6. Watching the Twins this year might be the fun of watching and waiting for the train wreck. One of my morbid fascinations is watching bad teams to see how they will find a way to lose. It becomes kind of funny to me. The Twins might be that team this year. Byron Buxton is a star, but can't stay on the field of play. Astudillo has tremendous bat-to-ball skills and is fun to watch and root for. Nick Gordon was fun while he was here. I miss Billy Martin.
  7. You could always root for the White Sox. Wait . . . what?
  8. Most Right-Handed starters face lefties between 45%-50% of plate appearances.
  9. I see Telis is getting some infield play these days, a La Tortuga. Maybe we can populate a complete infield with short, stocky catchers.
  10. Up to 59 already, Rocco only requires a few more than that from starters some nights.
  11. If they don't turn it around, will this become the epitaph on the grave marker of the 2021 Twins season?
  12. In most seasons yes but I think because of the shortened season last year teams are looking for ways to limit innings somewhat to prevent fatigue/injury. If they pitch deeper in games now does that mean missing starts later in the year? Tough call.
  13. I don't know, I thought the Wind Surge Logo might look more like this:
  14. I didn't see it but Colomé's 9th inning went single, line out, line out, line out. Doesn't sound like a recipe for long term success to me.
  15. The main drawback of being a Minnesota sports fan are the Minnesota sports teams.
  16. Ditto that. Not to mention the late fall football games in freezing rain and snow. We were playing at Roosevelt in a huge rain storm and I got tackled in a deep puddle, face down at the bottom of the pile. I thought I was going to drown. They called the game after the play. Good fun.
  17. I still don't understand why Rocco had Arraez at 3B and Blankenhorn at 2B in that 13-12 disaster game when I think Arraez is better at 2B and Blankenhorn is better at 3B. Both made errors in that inning at their lesser position. Aaargh.
  18. If I was associated with the Minnesota Twins right now, I'd be afraid to walk down a flight of stairs.
