  1. Is this like Valentine's Day where even though you're supposed to love and appreciate your significant other every day of the year, there's one day set aside each year where you're obligated to buy a card and such? Hallmark really does think of everything.
  2. I'd say that that contributed more to the offensive problem than the defensive one.
  3. Given the three true outcomes approach of today's hitters, I'm not totally sold on the defensive athleticism becoming the premium it once was, but I do think there will be a slight resurgence in it. Particularly in the infield. And I like that a lot. I'm just not convinced that it's going to be all that noticeable generally speaking. That said, the FO clearly thinks that it will be a bigger difference based on their acquisitions this offseason. I'll be happy to be wrong if that logic pays off and a good defensive team makes a significant difference. And I'd rather have a good defensive club than a bad one any day anyway.
  4. Especially if Maeda looks more like a bullpen arm than a rotation arm.
  5. I'm still looking for the seeds to grow them. They're impossible to find! Must be popular.
  6. I knew there was a silver lining in not being able to watch somewhere!
  7. There are times where I'm almost willing to jump off the Human Being Bandwagon! 😆
  8. It amazes me how few players these days know and understand the history of the game. Shameful!
  9. I don't really see him as being in any real trouble barring a complete meltdown this season without ridiculous injury numbers like they've had the last two seasons. I think he's doing what the FO is asking him to do, so unless the FO gets let go, I don't see Rocco being in any real trouble.
  10. Applies to all of them. Nobody has had game reps since September. I'm not sure what you're getting at.
  11. True, but this is why spring training exists. It's real game experience to shake off the rust.
  12. At least the injury bug waited a few games to start rearing it's ugly head...
  13. I don't know...my computer screens and spreadsheets are awfully appealing...
  14. Right. I was thinking the same thing. Horrible timing for him, for several reasons. His spot on the org depth chart probably tops among them.
  15. 7 years from now is going to be someone not currently in the organization yet. The rest of the guys listed will either be moved to another position or team before that time.
  16. It'll be interesting to see how they approach him, especially if the outfield depth really has a poor spring. With Taylor in the mix though, I'm not as worried about any of that unless a couple of other outfielders go down.
  17. That sucks. Any idea what it was given such a long recovery time?
  18. Only if you get a program! 😁
