  1. No worries, I didn't take it as criticism. Spring training games aren't as obvious or advertised. My reply to you was about the bolded bit. That's all.
  2. I bet that you can find some sweet jumps to take it on! Drive it like it ain't yours!
  3. I'd like to thank all of my friends that joined the game thread today! It's a long and distinguished list! It includes the likes of @joefish, @ashbury and @stringer bell and....and....and I guess that's it! Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!
  4. A run is a run! It all looks same in the box score... ...no it doesn't...
  5. At least they know that "Minnesota" is the opponent. So, there's that!
  6. Ha! I noticed that too. It's almost like an unlicensed video game with no player names!
  7. You're welcome. Spring training is a lot less organized. They're easier to find during the regular season.
  8. At this rate, the game is going to be over by 1:00!
  9. Feels like cheating that this game is being played at the Trop. Also unfortunate for those that would rather be outside.
  10. Yeah, I definitely think that they went to the same Logos 'R Us outlet store for these. I don't like them. And I think I like them less every time I see them. Just not to my taste.
  11. Too bad we don't have signatures anymore. You could have advertised it in your signature! 😆
  12. Great write-up, Nick! I think it's hard to understate how great it is to have a player of Correa's caliber taking the time to help prospects like Lee. I tend to think that the best teacher is a fellow player. Coaches and managers are a good source too, but some things just seem to be absorbed more from another player. Particularly a guy like Correa.
  13. The prize is that it's now commonly known that you are the biggest know it all with the most opinions on things!
  14. What's with all of this golf talk in a game thread?

  15. I'm usually content if I break 90 and pretty happy if I shoot mid-80s. If I shoot in the low 80s I get pissed because a couple less wasted strokes and I could have broken 80! I mean, I had a lot of fun and I know that I shot well, but I've never broken 80! I put a whole new set of sticks in the bag last year. I got out quite a few times early in the season and then basically took two months off and then played a bunch in the fall again. I played two rounds up at Superior National in July. The first one I lost 22 balls and quit keeping score because I was so frustrated. Two days later I shot an 86 and played the entire round with 3 balls. Same weather conditions. Two days apart. Night and day. My last round of the year, I went out in 50 (yuk...) and came back in with a 38. Worst/best 88 ever...Hell of a way end a season. Golf at its finest?
  16. Just tell that body of yours that there's golf to be played. You can hurt afterwards! That's why there's a 19th hole. Or at least that's what I tell myself anyway.
