    I've already penciled in Romero and Thorpe in our starting rotation next season.

    I believe we signed 5 or 6 free agents. They seem to be working out fairly well. Too bad about Darvish. He's not real popular on the Cubbie fan boards.

    A member of Twinkie Town just predicted what our pitching staff will look like in the next few years. You'll recognize all the names. Doesn't look like we are going to sign one of those free agent starting pitchers to a terrible contract.

    I would be surprised if we did anything, until they figure out how they are going to use Magill, Moya, Romero, and Reed. Also, I wouldn't take a pitcher who missed this much time. We are far from the only team that has a shaky bullpen. They may need to make tough decisions om Mejia and May. I believe they will wait until the trade deadline to make a move.

    I can tell you the story. In 2015 May was starting and put together 3 or 4 good games. Santana then came back from his suspension for steroids and took his spot in the rotation. Not a happy board. Many mini-meltdowns. Ever since we have had members screaming for May to be a starting pitcher again. May is the most overrated player in the history of this board.

    I agree. I never would have thought all three would get off to slow starts and Gonsalves getting hurt. I thought we had decent depth to handle situations like this.

    When the reinforcements start arriving Harper will be sent down. How long do you wait before you consider DFA May and/or Mejia?

    It appears Romero and Magill are ready( no idea what is going on with Reed). I heard the Giants have relievers to trade and a bunch of teams are rebuilding. Since they have no options left, I would not be surprised to see Mejia or May disappear.

    I'm guessing they trade Castro at the deadline. I have no problem with Garver and A-Stud sharing duties.

    Not using him for a few days is always an option. I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to trade him or he comes up with a mysterious ailment.

    I believe Nick Nelson gave Gaterol an eta of 2020. It took me by surprise at the time, but if we can add Romero and Gaterol to our pitching staff next season, things will certainly look brighter.

    Lewis and Kirilloff need to wait in line. I'm guessing we will extend one or two of Rosario, Buxton, Sano, or Berrios.

    Trevor May is not quite a rock, he's an anchor around our necks. Need to move him and Mejia while they still have some type of trade value. Also, since neither have an option left, it would give us flexibility when the shuttle is going full bore.

    The board wanted Kershaw, and we had to settle for a #5. Where is our mythical ace?

    We spent our money in other places, and didn't go dumpster diving. We still have money, players, and prospects to trade. The night is still young. Ask King Theo wants happens when you spend all your money, you still have glaring holes to fill, and ownership has taken the checkbook away.

    I say don't sign anyone who didn't make it to ST. 7 or 8 teams have no intention of contending, get a pen arm from one of them. Dangle Larnach, Mejia, and/or Trevor May.

    This is a outstanding example of cherry picking and we are no more conservative in promoting than most teams.

    We gave up nothing, we received nothing in return. Seems like a fair trade to me.

    He looked good yesterday, but I understand the built in hatred of most of our free agents. Did you hear how cold it was the other day?

    You don't read MLBTR do you? They are convinced. Last I looked they are at 112M. Also, rarely have I heard an owner stating they are losing money. Last time was the pizza guy in Detroit who lost 7M one year.
