  1. Well, we keep sitting around like this, shuffling AAA deck chairs, we'll be on the list of "sellers" soon enough.
  2. Calling an 0-2 curveball is not the problem. The problem is a pitcher who spins the damn thing over the heart of the plate, instead of burying it 6 feet deep. That's on Trevor may for not pitching like a major-leaguer.
  3. Arghhhh.... Sad to see Rooker go down just then. (Hope he's OK- sounds like he took an almighty nut-megging). Glad to see Larnach get moved up, but wondering if it has anything to do with seeing which of the 2 to keep around, and which to package in a trade....
  4. Yep. That ol' "loading the bases" ploy is not good for this team. That was the death knell.
  5. Did you hear that? That was the heartbeat that went by when considering this question. Yep.
  6. I really really really like Jaylin Davis. What makes me a little sad, though, is the more progress he makes through the ranks, and the hotter he gets in AAA, the more he looks like a trade plum.
  7. After a stretch of not-so-hot baseball leading up to the break, they've come out in fine form the last couple of days. There's nothing like pasting the team chasing you, right in front of their own fans! Overcame a Gibby implosion, and a near-Jake implosion as well, with some tough relief pitching and timely late hitting. Now, I really really really hope Bux is OK, and Eddie R comes back soon, too. We can't take another outfield hit like we did last month. Interesting on the trade front, that Boston gave up a pair of 17-yr-olds in the DSL for a solid major-league starter. Maybe we won't get hosed too badly when we finally trade for one. On a lighter note, Sale got greased again! 3-9, ERA over 4. Doesn't matter he's not a White Sock anymore, I hate the Red Sox even more! Haw haw haw....! *Heh... Edit time* I looked up the baseball ref. on those 2 kids the O's got. Collectively, they weigh about the same as The Crusher.

  9. I'm grateful for all the work that gets put into these reports- they're always a good read, and show a lot of promise for the Twins' future! On a side note: could there possibly be a better baseball name than Willie Joe Garry, Jr.?
  10. Those day games happen in my middle of the night- so usually miss 'em. But awoke this morning to find the game still going on! Re:this headline-- Tell you what- there are long days at work, long days of crappy weather, but long days of baseball.....? Take it in a heartbeat. How about that Thorpe curve? Holy......!
  11. Watch out. Some of those young Sox are starting to figure things out, plus we're going to get our first look at Giolito since he turned the page this year and became such a stud starter. This could be a heck of a tough series, especially with so many key guys hurt- although Tim Anderson's injury is going to have them missing their catalyst.

  16. Well, they just played the AL % leaders to a standoff this weekend (outscoring us, too), and could have had a sweep with a little better BP work. It was an enjoyable series from a baseball-watching perspective. But a worrying series from a Twins-Central-title one.
  17. I dunno... With so many people trying to be health-conscious these days, do we really want to add a buttery reliever to the roster? On the other hand, it sounds like a delicious option, especially if he can keep the walks from greasing up the basepaths...

  19. I should have known a bad Gibby start was in the offing when he totally missed Kepler with the Gatorade bucket after last night's win.
