  1. Don't you worry Bark, I'll still be around.. I'm on the schedule for leading off game threads this season!
  2. I could... *furiously types baseball pants on Amazon* *orders pants 1 size too small* *uses Amazon Prime to get them before Friday*
  3. I've vetted this out already. She's more interested in men wearing tight baseball pants, sunshine, and beer over any team. Perhaps I can convince her to like some Twins players!
  4. I have... BUT, I wonder if I said that in the interview they would have felt sorry for me and offered more money!
  5. It's been a whirlwind of a week guys.. date #3 is on the schedule for tomorrow.. and I was presented an offer to join a new company today! Could be a lot of changes happening for ol' Vanimal.
  6. My condolences for having so many relatives in Wisconsin, RB. We're here for you if you ever need to vent.
  7. Why do you believe if Escobar or Nunez spends extended time on the DL that they'd defer to Tovar or Beresford? Wouldn't that be the best case scenario to give Polanco a real look with every day player at-bats?
  8. It may be a little awkward if Gardy asks for his old office and parking space back.... Sorry Molly, seniority wins 9 times out of 10.
  9. Believe me North, there was PLENTY of liquid courage needed to go dancing...
  10. Not much is different from your experience in September of 1999, Bark. It was 85 degrees today in Austin... I was certainly sweaty, discombobulated, and NERVOUS as all get out. I'd like to think me being that way made it easier for her to have fun and enjoy the moment... We had some laughs and awkward moments. I went out of my comfort zone by dancing, and she was a great teacher!
  11. If you want to start posting on my behalf, you have my permission. You have that power as a moderator, right?
  12. Call me old school, but 5 and a half hours together is a win for me on a first date... I've got something planned for her on Sunday! Hopefully it's going to be a good time.
  13. You guys! It turned out to be a great night for all of us! 1st win for the Twins! Sorry I missed this historical moment for our favorite ball club... The first date turned out great! Drunk make out sessions are great in their own category, but there's nothing better than a first real kiss with a crush!
  14. Tonight's the night guys! For those that have followed the game threads the last couple of days you'll know what I'm talking about. Happy hour is set up after work.. After happy hour dinner is booked! If I don't check in later tonight, you'll know why!
  15. Signing a 34 year old OF and potentially DFA'ing a 24 year old OF in Arcia?? Does.Not.Compute.
  16. Makes sense to me. As long as this is a faster solution to figure out whether Tonkin is worthwhile to keep on this team or not.
  17. I'm taking the spotlight off of Perkins for a second... I just read Lavelle's blog on the Strib and he says that Rogers' role will be "long relief, or no later than the 7th inning, if possible." Soooo what's up Michael Tonkin? What's he going to do now?
  18. I'm with Levi... Perkins does great things off the field, but on the field, it's getting harder to root for the guy. I'm excited to see Rogers for the first time and hopefully he does well to earn a spot full-time on this team.
  19. I actually like this exercise a lot, Seth. Instead of deep diving into numbers and leverage points and holy batman! useless stats, it can be boiled down to did x reliever do their job or not.. Sucks that the consensus top 3 relievers in the fan's minds (May, Perk, Jepsen) have not got the job done yet.
  20. Jesus, that is TERRIFYING! I had a couple of dicey situations, but nothing as crazy as that. I remember getting screwed up with the Kansas Turnpike... Not wanting to go on the toll road but couldn't make the maneuver quickly enough, so I was stuck on that toll road... And a lot of stretches on I-35 where the speed limit was 75+ and the stupid U-Haul topped out at 65... Thought the engine was going to burst in flames chugging up some steep inclines.
  21. You will not regret that decision. If I could go back in time I would have bought the U-Haul pods 10 out of 10 times.
  22. I would say better that they win it than an East Coast team, but I've been raised to hate UND more than the Yankees, Red Sox, and Brian Duensing combined... I just can't muster a congratulations to that school.
