After doing taxes this week and owing, again.... It got me thinking how it wasn't so bad being a broke college student getting money back from Uncle Sam!
I stopped looking at Berrios' stat line because all he does is dominate in AAA. Whatever he's working on besides a great stat line, I hope he's doing it.
HAWT taek: The OF replacement is a person who's currently not in the organization... Think of a David Murphy type that doesn't decide to retire the day before getting a call-up.
Just 37 of Stewart's 75 pitches were strikes.... Yikes. Is he trying something different mechanically and just working out the kinks? Overall I'm just curious how the new regime will develop him in order to get more K's and reach his potential....
Have we ruled out Escobar moving back to the OF when Adrianza returns, thus taking D Santana's spot? Adrianza filling in as utility IF in this scenario...
This would be a great solution.... I wonder why Pagan has not been signed yet? Is he holding out for too much money? Judging solely by his stat line he can still hold his own quite well at the plate.
Never thought I would see a mean looking jumbo shrimp as a logo in my life... May have to buy this hat just for the name. http://cdn.barstoolsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/02/CwQ5kG9WEAYEYap.jpg?47a9e4
Disagree strongly with your take. If they're making moves in April designed to tank the season, then they hired the wrong people to run a front office. Molitor's contract is over at the end of the season. No reason to conspire against him in order to hire a different manager.
Tonkin is my choice to go. He's been the low man on the depth chart for over a year now. Molitor doesn't trust him pitching anything other than low leverage innings.
I'd hate to pass on a player because of bonus demands... If Greene is the guy, don't low ball him and pony up to get the best player. Especially if they think he has star potential.

It would be interesting to learn how the new regime measures Berrios' success. Having a great stat line has never been the issue in AAA.... When I hear about measuring strike rate, "pitch to contact" enters my mind... Berrios has too good of stuff to be a pitch to contact player. Do they measure him by how accurate he's hitting his spots during an at bat? Since catchers do set up for a low and away slider to get a batter chasing for example....
As do I, Bark. I'm not ready to give up after 4 games. Also, maybe we have to look at him differently for this year. He made 2 highlight reel catches tonight.... does that make up for a lack of offense? So far I'd say so.
