  1. Yeah it'll be interesting to see what school they belong to for sure... I guess I'm enrolled in the school of promoting from AA is fine on a case by case basis. When it comes to RP, I don't see an issue with jumping up 2 levels. Same with elite prospects such as Sano. When it comes to relievers, they should have the same approach in AA as they should in the majors. Throw the ball really hard, and get them to chase junk out of the zone. I'm not sure if a person needs x amount of innings in A, AA, and AAA before they can hang in the majors.
  2. Couldn't agree more. It's better for the organization and the fans when 2 young, lovable, good players are locked in for a long time... Haven't seen that since the Mauer and Morneau days.
  3. Concur, I say Sano is the priority to sign this off-season. He's already becoming a star this season, and will only get more expensive the longer he proves he can play 3B or 1B.
  4. If you believe the team isn't a contender, wouldn't it make sense to give Burdi/Melotakis/pick your poison some time on the MLB team so they have experience when the team evolves into contenders?
  5. Would Burdi/Melotakis/Hilldenberger do any worse than Pressly right now? I'd be shocked if that were the case.... He needs to be sent back to AAA yesterday. Give him 10-15 appearances in Rochester to clear up whatever issues he's going through.
  6. REVENGE game for Hector the Kollector! The beard looks recently trimmed.... Let's play!!
  7. No doubt. MLB is leading the way for streaming options with their games. NHL being a close second. NFL and NBA are light years behind in the streaming game, and the two biggest investments that ESPN has.
  8. Now that we've come to the conclusion that Mauer and Sano are completely different players.......... If people are hesitant about giving a long term contract to a 24/25 year old, I'm not sure if there's any example of a player to sign long term.
  9. The entire league is trending towards 3 outcomes... Sano isn't an outlier when it comes to his approach at the plate.
  10. The more Sano proves he can play in the field, the more his future salary goes up. I'd really like to get him locked up long term sooner than later.
  11. Good luck to D Santana. This should hopefully work out for both parties. D San gets a fresh start, and the Twins take away Molitor's temptation of finding a way to play him.
  12. They've been splitting playing time 50/50 between him and JRM for most of the season. Recently it's probably just playing the hot bat. JRM is heating up, and Garver is cooling down a bit.
  13. From what we've read over the last year+, he's a pro hitter who knows how to work a count, draw walks, and rarely strikes out. It's possible they finally have a traditional lead off hitter to plug into the lineup.
  14. Jack Morris: "I know people don't like hearing about my generation..." Continues discussing "my" generation the rest of the inning.
  15. Normally I hear the opposite story down here... Lots of Californians moving here for the no state income tax and tech companies.
  16. They were damn good... Breakfast taco with migas, avocado, and pepper jack cheese. 1 chicken fajita and 1 Al Pastor... A homemade tortilla is the key to a great taco!
  17. Running tally of tacos consumed on this day for the group: 3
  18. In the spirit of Cinco de Mayo, this is on the playlist today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rU-HltyZBkU
  19. What's everyone doing to celebrate the holiday? Any salsa dancing in your future?
