  1. Same vicious cycle every year. I hate it. Can't wait to acquire another org's #20 ranked prospect for our 2nd/3rd tier FAs that didn't help take this team into contention.
  2. Definitely. They did their best to confuse us with different timelines, worlds, and who is or isn't a host. I guess William is a human that transitioned to being a host later on? Very disappointed after they were gaining steam episodes 2-5 in season 2.
  3. I caught up on Westworld just in time to watch the finale with everyone else. Not sure what I just watched with that finale. Hated it.
  4. Stewart was left for dead by many fans, myself included. It's a very nice development to see him strike out more batters.
  5. It's reasonable for them to think Odorizzi and Lynn would be better than Mejia. Mejia was in their plans IMO as a #4/5 starter until they made the late addition of Lynn.
  6. In February he was penciled in as the #4 starter and it wasn't out of place. I like that they tried to aim higher with the acquisitions of Odorizzi and Lynn. Unfortunately Odorizzi is falling apart and it makes sense why he was traded for a low level SS prospect.
  7. I'm with you. But clearly the FO values his defense and presence in the MLB clubhouse. IMO he should stay down until he figures out his approach at the plate. However, they rushed him back before. Looks like they're going to do it again.
  8. If Buxton is healthy I guess call him up. Can't say I'm excited that he's turned a corner at the plate. Probably going to be a lot of the same we saw earlier this season.
  9. Don't call up Buxton for LaMarre. Learn from your mistakes just this year when you called him up too quickly. Nothing about his performance in AAA screams I'm ready to hit MLB pitching.
  10. Falvine already spoke to this and said he's sticking around? I'm quickly running out of patience with this regime if that's the case.
  11. I don't know anything about his fielding ability, but when healthy the dude can mash the ball.
  12. Arraez is a name I keep reading. Before his unfortunate season ending injury last year he was on the top ~20 prospect lists for the organization. Is he rising up your personal list Seth/Tom?
  13. Losing 15 lbs in ~2 months is quite the task. Unless they hired Jillian Michaels to put him through a Biggest Loser program that may be too aggressive of an ask.
  14. I don't think it's a coincidence that the offense looks better with Mauer back in the lineup... There's something to be said about having a seasoned pro lead off, make contact and get on base. He's more than a defensive asset Ted!
  15. I'm curious what you and others think what criteria is considered to be a top 10 manager? It's tough for me to define how good a manager is. I believe there are some that are better than others like Francona. Does it boil down to intangibles that we as fans can't see and measure?
  16. Great read, thanks! I agree something needs to be done to get out of the three true outcomes era. If moving back the pitching rubber is the answer I'm all for it. I just don't see me enjoying baseball long term the way the game is heading right now. Like you said, it takes too long to reach 2 of the 3 outcomes. I'm also bothered by everyone swinging out of their shoes to hit 700 ft HRs instead of simply putting the ball in play.
  17. And there will be a ton of sellers. 10 teams are clear sellers right now with a few more bubble teams like NYM, and whoever decides to sell in the NL West. Seems like most "Top players on the trade block" lists are full of RP too.
  18. If he keeps hitting like this, have no fear... He won't hit the goal he needs to achieve to get the vesting option. Once Sano is done with his intervention I'm guessing he'll be the primary 1B/DH going forward
  19. Isn't Erv still shut down from his last rehab appearance? Did I miss news about him?
  20. Apathy is setting in for this team. Hard to get worked up anymore when this is what they do week in and week out. They gave Morrison 2.5 months to figure it out and he's still playing bad. It's time to get rid of him. Kepler's struggles against RH pitching is something no one wants to talk about. They don't have 9 MLB-ready replacements on the farm. I guess just let him try to hit through the slump.
