  1. Urshela has played 22 post-season games at 3B, and while the overall results are mixed, he has only made 1 error over his last 50 chances, covering 17+ games.
  2. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/06/twins-place-trevor-larnach-on-il-with-core-muscle-strain.html
  3. There have been some big-name players DFA'd this year, some by small market teams (Cain), so it is a possibility. If he is out of shape (he is supposed to be rehabbing), then it should be a no-brainer.
  4. How much of Correa's OAA change can be attributed to not having Bregman, Altuve and Gurriel as fellow infielders?? Are the Twins having him play "in the shift" more or less than Houston did? How about the difference in pitching staff's. Too many variables for me to be a big defensive analytics fan.
  5. Gameday shows Hernandez behind plate, Baseball Savant illustrator graphics agree......
  6. I think Urshela should have been bunting, the Twins need this game.
  7. Twins were leading 5-3 when Pagan gave up his HR, offense and starting pitcher did their jobs. I understand Ryan was losing 3-2 when he was lifted, but he pitched good enough to give the team a chance to win.
  8. Couldn't type fast enough to beat the DP..... Good job Duran.
  9. Who's warming up, I think Gonzalez's AB might just knock Duran out of the game
  10. Gordon = Larnach Miranda < Kirilloff Let's hope defense doesn't lose this.....
  11. If Gordon doesn't run its 1st and 2nd with 1 out, maybe 1st and 3rd.
  12. Was gonna complain about Kirilloff being pinch hit for, but Garlick reaches....
  13. At least they're letting the guy hitting under .200 do the damage, not Ramirez.
  14. So 7/$220 MM seeing how he signed for 3/$105MM, total of 10/$325 MM. If both sides could agree to front load it a little bit and/ or put in an opt out after year 5 or 7 years (when he is no longer an elite SS but a good 2B or 3B) I think it could be a win-win. He has stated he likes it here, he would be playing most of the contract with Buxton, Arraez and whichever of the young guys develops and the team keeps, and his post-season experience and club house presence would help immensely.
  15. If you count the last 4 games he played before being sent back to AAA, Kirilloff is slashing .300/.333/.400 for an OPS of .733, which puts his OPS+ around 115 (Kepler's season OPS is .735 for an OPS+ of 115). SSS I know, but TD posters tend to manipulate player stats to fit their narrative of a player. He has also been shifted on 40 of 42 plate appearances this season, but hit 4 of 7 balls in play to left over the weekend. Continuing to do so may force opponents to play him more straight up, opening up the field a little more. His exit velocity this weekend was also 96.2. Perhaps good things lie ahead. Oh yeah, Celestino is 1-9 and Larnach is 2-12 over their most recent appearances, so they obviously aren't MLB ready either.
  16. The Guardians did what the Twins couldn't, beat generally weaker competition. They are 16-6 in their last 22 games, in which they played Detroit, KC, Baltimore, Oakland, Colorado and the slumping Dodgers (9-11 in their last 20). They actually lost 2 of 3 to Detroit to start this stretch. The Twins actually won 2 of 3 the last time Cleveland came to town, the loss coming in extra innings, with Gray, Smeltzer and Ryan giving the team decent starts.
