The Pitchers
RHP Jason Alexander (2-1, 4.75 ERA, 17K, 36IP, -0.3 bWAR) vs RHP Josh Winder (4-2, 3.12 ERA, 27K, 40.1IP, 0.7 bWAR)
The Twins will avoid the two headed monster at the top of the Brewer's rotation in Brandon Woodruff and Corbin Burnes, and instead will be lined up with Jason Alexander in game one, making his 7th start of the season. Despite the below average surface numbers, Alexander has pretty good below the surface numbers. Alexander started against the Cubs last time out, going 5.1IP, allowing 7 runs, 6 earned, on 8 hits while allowing a home run, and walking and striking out 2. This was his first start back in the rotation, but he did throw 94 pitches. He throws a mid 90's fastball, a slower slider, a great sinker, and an above average changeup to left handed hitters. Winder will look to keep things going and provide some length against a good Brewers lineup.
