  1. yeah, that's not on either of them. It's on someone down in the video room.
  2. Being a poor baserunner plus being unbelievably slow is a bad combo, but that was simply a great throw (he was safe anyhow)
  3. Sox TV agrees that Urshella was in before the tag. Unbelievably incompetent to not challenge.
  4. yep. Really unlucky, but he's once again not shaving the edge of the zone which is so important with a guy with his below average stuff, and he isn't getting any swings and misses
  5. Lineup should be (against RHP) Arraez DH Correa SS Buxton CF AK 1St Polo 2nd Miranda 3rd Kepler RF Gordon LF Whoever catches
  6. Really gotta win this game with the pitching advantage. Twins 7, White Sox 4
  7. welp. gonna be tough to win this one with the brewers pen. split was always the likely outcome, but always better to win game 1.
  8. unbelievable. We hit for 50 minutes and can't even get a run out of it
  9. The Pitchers RHP Jason Alexander (2-1, 4.75 ERA, 17K, 36IP, -0.3 bWAR) vs RHP Josh Winder (4-2, 3.12 ERA, 27K, 40.1IP, 0.7 bWAR) The Twins will avoid the two headed monster at the top of the Brewer's rotation in Brandon Woodruff and Corbin Burnes, and instead will be lined up with Jason Alexander in game one, making his 7th start of the season. Despite the below average surface numbers, Alexander has pretty good below the surface numbers. Alexander started against the Cubs last time out, going 5.1IP, allowing 7 runs, 6 earned, on 8 hits while allowing a home run, and walking and striking out 2. This was his first start back in the rotation, but he did throw 94 pitches. He throws a mid 90's fastball, a slower slider, a great sinker, and an above average changeup to left handed hitters. Winder will look to keep things going and provide some length against a good Brewers lineup. Lineups Twins DH Luis Arraez L SS C. Correa R CF Byron Buxton R RF Max Kepler L 2B J. Polanco S 1B A. Kirilloff L LF Nick Gordon L 3B Gio Urshela R C Gary Sanchez R Brewers 2B Kolten Wong L SS Willy Adames R 1B Rowdy Tellez L DH A. McCutchen R C Omar Narvaez L 3B Luis Urias R LF J. Peterson L RF H. Renfroe R CF J. Davis R On this Day - 1997 - Francisco Cordova and Ricardo Rincon combined for a ten-inning no-hitter as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Houston Astros 3-0. Cordova pitched nine innings before being removed with the score 0-0. Rincon pitched the tenth and got the win when Mark Smith hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the inning. Odds: Twins -135, Brewers +115, O/U 9 Weather: 81 degrees, 20% chance of shower, 9 MPH out to RCF Pick to Click: Alex Kirilloff has a 3 hit night Prediction: Twins 6, Brewers 4 Go Twins!!
  10. TWINS WIN! Not all that great of a road trip, but we picked up games in the standings and are still in the lead. Split with Milwaukee, take 3 of 4 from the Sox, enjoy Buxton and Arraez in the ASG, and add some reinforcements before the break is done. Until Tuesday, ENJOY YOUR CHICKEN!
  11. click "quote" in the bottom left hand corner of whatever post you want to reply to
  12. would've been a hell of a catch, but Celly probably should've caught that
  13. interested to see if Pagan or Duffey gets the high leverage inning here.
