Chargois going is a disappointment. Otherwise it is probably good for these players to go elsewhere and actually get a chance. I do really want to see Vielma in the big leagues, so I hope he can get his bat to work.
Granite had 107 plate appearances for the Twins last year and was terrible. Dude needs a few hundred more AAA PAs for me to even remotely consider him on this team. Busenitz is preferable over Pressly, for sure, and maybe Duffey.
This is a great signing. I do wonder if the Twins are interested in a trade for a starting pitcher now, since Vargas is a Major League bat to sweeten any deal involving prospects. Not sure.
I waited to put Buxton up to No. 1 for a little bit, and the position issue is a bit of, well, an issue. I also favor guys well up in the system, especially pitchers. I am very high on Romero.
Gordon, to me, is no higher than a 5. Maybe a 6. It honestly seems preposterous to put him higher than Gonsalves. 1. Romero 2. Lewis 3. Gonsalves 4. Rooker 5. Kirilloff 6. Gordon 7. Javier Makes sense to me.
I know that Garver is still a prospect, but I don't even think of him that way. He will be a very solid backup catcher for several years. I don't really have any doubts, and never did, about this.
Sleeping on LaMonte Wade is ridiculous. The guy will be good. After 127 PAs at Fort Myers in 2016 he posted an .805 OPS in Chatty in 2017. I don't care if the "ceiling" is 4th OF (it really isn't, but HOPEFULLY it is on the Twins for the next two years, right?).
Lewis Gonsalves Romero Rooker Gordon Kiriloff Wade Javier Thorpe Diaz Are my personal top 10. I should get around to fully ranking prospects in the next week or so. I promise.
The key is for him to stabilize this production at the plate. All of his minor league stats up to AA make that a real possibility. I trust that he will become a better defender.
