  1. What makes a winning team is TALENT. Over 162 games talent wins over how much the players get a long.
  2. Exactly. I only watch the twins when it's a national game or when they play the White sox because thats the regional sports channel I get. They would have to make some major moves for me to shell out money to watch Bally to see the games.
  3. Because in the end defensive metrics are a crap shoot, they are the least reliable stat of any out there, and should be viewed that way.
  4. He was not good in cleveland, good in Atlanta, and God like in the playoffs in 2021. 2022 he had vision problems that required surgery.
  5. *2021 playoffs excepted. world series champion, baby. more than any of the current Twins will ever be.
  6. kind of off topic, but it sure would be fun to see what the Tampa Bay front office/organization could do with $140 M in a weak central division...
  7. I know nothing about pitching mechanics. What i can tell you is the game I watched him pitch in August, he couldn't throw his secondary pitches for strikes. The batters sat on his fast ball and it wasn't pretty.
  8. 120 games played in the field. That's still every 4th game off.A k rate under 30%. Don't half ass run out a batted ball and get hurt again. Is that too much to ask for someone that's supposed to be a superstar in his prime?
  9. More of the same. those who think there with be any substantial changes are deluding themselves.
  10. You know what's more troubling?watching the Twins sign retreads and reclamation projects every damn year.
  11. You don't think there's a hole at catcher? I do, I'm not sold on Jeffers being a decent MLB catcher.
  12. After the way he was used, i doubt he has any interest in signing an extension. There will be plenty of other teams that will be interested in his services.
  13. Do you expect a Correa level player to be available late every year? I don't. I think it was the exception. not the norm.
  14. Maybe he isn't fixable. After all he was not good for his whole career up until last year. Maybe the Twins shouldn't look at a (relatively) small sample size and expect it to be the new norm.
  15. Well, if they aren't going to go get good starters, a great bullpen is a must. KC showed the blueprint to winning a World series with a great bullpen. Frankly it's the only chance small/mid market teams have.
  16. how many playoff games did we win with those guys? that's the goal you know....
  17. "The Twins have lots of money, and very few true gaps. So which direction do they go? Add a dependable big bat? A high-end shortstop? A dependable #1 starter? Or another closer-caliber bullpen arm? All of those moves could be prioritized, but none of them are required." WHAT???? "Very few true gaps" and then you reel of a list of huge ones. And they ALL are REQUIRED if you want to seriously compete.
  18. Burton's knee injury was entirely preventable. If he runs hard it of the box he's standing on second. Instead he dogs it and has to slide to make it to second. No trainer can prevent that, it's on the player.
