  1. It takes a village to raise a baseball team. In my own job, I’ve received undergraduate training, graduate training, mentorship using official job program, unofficial mentorship, official training at work, and on the job training from more senior leaders in my organization. And I share my own insights with my colleagues. in short, we never stop learning and the sources of education are diverse and complex. I think this topic relates really well to the chemistry topic. Strong team chemistry can also help strengthen the official and unofficial coaching. Having clear communication and strong relationships can only help the finer points of education and training be shared more effectively.
  2. To give Dazzle some grace if the home plate view looks reasonable but the outfield view appears impossible play, Dazzle saw it real time from right behind the plate
  3. Great example RpR. Soft tissue injuries can flare up, sometimes they need surgery, others not, and people grind through them. We’ve all lived with pain that affects life for some duration. It doesn’t all get reported. I mean the daily column in the Strib would be two full pages of nagging injuries if every little thing was reported, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t an impact to player performance.
  4. Agreed, Bundy has been smoke and mirrors and Archer at least looks like he has stuff. However both of them are in danger of their arm falling off. Depth will be tested and so far the pipeline looks more ready than pre-season indications.
  5. You’re right, the division is bad, I did not make a prediction on where the Twins would finish standings wise, but I probably would’ve put them 2-3 range pre-season, now 1-2. it’s possible to win the division under .500. I don’t think that’ll happen, but 90 wins isn’t some magical milestone.
  6. I had the Twins around 10 games under 500 in the first poll. I felt that the starting pitching didn’t have the depth to last the season and the rotation would unravel as the season progresses. i now went 80-89, Winder’s first start and how Rocco/Levine have managed innings and Il stints through the first 24 games gives me more confidence that the doldrums of august won’t have as many starts by quad-a gap fillers as I had originally feared. I am much more optimistic than the beginning of the season.
  7. I wonder if the knee has been bothering him all season, if it’s the cause of his slow start.
