  1. At this point, I honestly don't think he's worth a lot in terms of trade value. We won't get much in return, if we do deal him. I agree, his OF defense is great, and there are plenty of players who stick in the majors because of their defensive ability. As far as his bat...he definitely has fallen off the cliff. I'm not smart enough to know what's happened to him...whether he's focused too much on launch angle, or if he's trying to pull everything, etc. Whatever it is, he's a liability at the plate. No way should he be hitting at or near the top of the order, like he has been. He's got to be down at the bottom of the order. I think a good hitting coach would be able to help him tremendously...I don't think we have that person. I'd be willing to give it some more time to see if the new shift rules have any effect on his hitting, but I wouldn't want to do another whole season of his futility, if nothing changes. If the right deal does comes along, I'd trade him.
  2. Now that Turner signed with the Phils, I'd expect the Giants and the Dodgers to set their sights on Correa.
  3. CC is licking his chops. The money train will be pulling into the station. Unfortunately, I don't think it's gonna be in Mpls.
  4. They better not trade him for someone who ends up being two starts from getting TJ surgery.
  5. I wish he was coming here, but I doubt it. My guess is, he goes to the Cards.
  6. I don't believe the Twins have any realistic chance, and maybe not even any interest, in signing Rodon. They would get out bid in a heartbeat. I think Bassitt is a possibility, but even he's probably more than they would spend on a FA starter. I think they're gonna roll with the starting pitchers they already have, and focus on a SS and a catcher. There's always the chance they make some kind of trade.
  7. I'd LOVE to somehow get Reynolds here. Don't have any idea if it's possible, or if the FO is even interested. They'd be crazy not to at least make a call and explore it. Derek Shelton is the Pirates manager, so he knows a lot of our players. He was the bench coach here for a couple years. Reynolds has been a rumored trade target for teams for a while, but Pitt has been adamant about not moving him.
  8. Lotta moolah for a guy who hasn't pitched much in the last few years.
  9. In my opinion, he's a solid middle of the rotation guy...and there sure isn't anything wrong with that. He might even end up being a little better than that.
  10. What they should do, is have it at the Minneapolis Convention Center. It would be the perfect place for Twins Fest.
  11. Above average when healthy...and let's hope he is/will be. Not an "ace".
  12. The ride AND the results. 12 months, 365 days, 8760 hours, 525,600 minutes...24/7, the whole enchilada. I think about the season, and what the FO is gonna do, all the time. Can't get enough. I want another WS title before the good Lord takes me.
  13. We need a catcher. Let's face it...Jeffers isn't the guy. He's average at best defensively, and he can't hit.
  14. We don't need another guy who's spent more time on the IL, than he has actually pitching.
  15. There's no rush. He's not going anywhere unless the Twins want him to. Let's see how 2023 goes.
  16. More than likely, and hopefully, this move has been in the works for a while now. The "effective immediately" is surprising. No matter what anyone thinks of Jim Pohlad, I'm sure no one would want it to be health related. In my opinion, I'd want Joe Pohlad to be more involved than his uncle seemed to be, more interested in the success of the team, and in more touch with the fan base. Yes, it's a business for them, and their family is in it to make a profit, but we're a long way from our two WS titles. I'd want him...to WANT to win. I guess in general...be as much a fan of the Twins and MLB baseball, as he is an owner. Hope that makes sense.
  17. Ok...but does he have control of the double zip-loc bag with all the cash, and is he willing to spend any of it?
  18. Once again...I apologize for posting the incorrect info yesterday. All the reports I saw said Johan, not Jair.
  19. Interesting...everything I'm seeing still says Johan Camargo. CBS Sports, various MLB sites, etc. Nobody has changed it yet.
  20. The report I saw said Johan Camargo, so if it turns out to be Jair Camargo, I stand corrected and apologize for posting the wrong info.
  21. A minor league deal. No specifics yet. Plays mostly SS and 3B, but has also played 2B and OF. Good utility type guy. Had a big year for Atl back in 2018. Was with Philly last year. Only 28 years old.
